I remember that season well, I was living in Lincoln back then and I treated two Lincoln mates to seats in the Lower Barclay on a very cold Monday night at the start of Christmas week.

We were, I think, 9 points clear at the top of the table and to my utter dismay, we lost 2-0 at home to bloody Ipswich town! I've never been back to Carrow Road as I regard myself as a Jonah at home, but since then, I've never seen them lose away! That's one of the reasons I always go to our game at the SOL when we're in the same division! <ok>

A truly momentous occasion and one that I look back on with fondness and affection. Could AN make the good times roll again?

I was being born during the home game against Liverpool. My mum still annoyed she couldn't go.

Norwich’s success remains an anachronism in the Premier League, a reminder that before all of the money crashed into English football there was life outside of Manchester and London. In the 20 seasons before Rupert Murdoch got his bulky wallet out for the 1992-93 season, 19 teams finished in the top three – almost a new club ever year. In the first 20 years of the Premier League, Norwich were one of 11 teams to have finished in the top three; since the 2000-01 campaign that number is down to just six.

    Very telling indeed
