Ok, so we have lost again. Hey Ho. i`m sure the Sunderland fans are lapping it up today after drinking their fill last night. But, if any of them think that the better team won, then they are very mistaken. They were awful, we were not! We played well, not amazing, but well!. Possession, shots and passing stats prove that. Even after the dubious sending off we looked the better team. The referee was very poor. I have never heard of him before but he looked out of his depth. Book one of ours for persistent fouling, then just talk to one of theirs for the same offense. The penalty, yes it was a penalty! Collocini fouled him in the box, PENALTY! Red Card? No. Fletcher was never going to definitely reach that ball before Elliot, it was 50/50 at best, more like 70/30 in Elliots favour. Therefore that is not a clear goalscoring opportunity, therefore a yellow card. Even if we were 1-0 down at halftime i would still have fancied us to win, given how easy it was to carve open that team at will. After the sending off they still looked awful. I have felt down before after derby games but this feels different. It hurts. The only saving grace is that every football pundit or commentator seems to agree with me. They all say Sunderland were pretty useless during the game, even after the sending off. To cap it off, a man accused of having sex with an under-age girl was allowed to take the field and scored against us again. I really hope for his, his family`s, his friend`s and his club`s sake he is found innocent because if he is found guilty the level of disgust aimed at Sunderland Football Club will be off the scale!!!, and rightly so!!

What a surprise!! A daft mackem revelling in the victory. If you honestly think your team were better than my team then you need a reality check matey!! Just like last season, you will finish below us. What position that will be, who knows. But your team is awful, FACT!! Don`t let the scoreline fuddle your brain my son. YOU KNOW I AM RIGHT. Every Newspaper, Pundit, Commentator and Impartial Fan is saying the same, Sunderland are an awful team, but Newcastle are only slightly better!! Enjoy your moment. And what a moment!! An alleged KIDDIE-FIDDLER HAS SCORED A PENALTY FOR US!! WHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! How low have you sunk?????

ps. Did you go to school? Did you learn about correct sentence structure with correct verb tense?

As I am an English teacher I am horrified by your terrible use of the English Language. What do they teach you in Wearside? How to make love to your cousins??

If you were that much better I assume the defeat was by a narrow margin then?

well, as long as every pundit, ex-pro and commentator agrees with you then that's all that matters. you'll get the points added retrospectively when the dubious results panel convenes later today..... oh, no, that's not right is it.
perhaps you should be more vexed at your players for dominating a game from start to finish and yet only testing our 'keeper once.

I disagree, it is something new!! We played football quite well for a change! That is something new!! If we carry on playing like that, then we will be ok for the rest of the season. If Sunderland carry on playing football like that for the rest of the season, they will not be ok!! Paradoxically, its a win-win for us!!

But you must have seen something better in the last 2 games, surely? I know the Carver era is hardly a benchmark or measuring stick but even you have to admit we are better than we were last season! Yes the results have gone against us and we have been terrible in some games but overall there has been an improvement. Its still not great and we have to hope that we keep improving, game after game, and that we slowly move out of this bottom 3 scenario. But when i watch a match like yesterdays, and I know we lost, I think, WOW, there are far worse teams than us in this league. We know, at the end of the season, the table never lies, the 3 worst teams are always relegated, FACT. Their fans may not agree, but they are always one of the 3 worst teams that season. Sunderland are the worst team I have seen this season, game after game, with the exception of Aston Villa (who may be equal worst). Enjoy the derby win Mackems, it may be all you have to shout about this season!!

We might lose the next derby, Sunderland might not get relegated this season, but at some point at some time something will happen and I will be there, and by there, I mean all over the mackem board like a rash! To kick them where it hurts right when they are at their lowest point!

I don't think I've seen any Sunderland fan say we were better than you yesterday, so there is no argument there ?
Get over it man. You lost. AGAIN..

Ya need to man up and take it on the chin instead of whinging like a baby. Swings and roundabouts and you dont always get what you deserve in life. A few years ago Taylor dived in the box untouched for a penalty and you lot got out of jail with an undeserved point that day. **** happens!

I don't know mate, its sounds a bit bitter bringing the kiddy fiddler into it <laugh>

Sentiment is right, it feels a lot different to the previous ones. i.e. we actually showed up for once, fought and outplayed them. Normally we've been ****, deserved **** all and barely lifted a finger. Still ****e losing, but I think every Newcastle fan can see there is progress being made over the last few weeks. The decisions and results ain't gone our way, but I am quite enjoying watching us play football again. Been awhile since you could say that.
