Just get in there Congerton, ffs! ------------------------------ West Ham want Marcos Alonso transfer for bargain £1.5million 17 June 2014 10:30 PM By Alan Nixon The former Bolton defender wants to leave Fiorentina after a successful loan spell at Sunderland last season John Peters Hammer time: Marcos Alonso (left) is heading to his third English club West Ham boss Sam Allardyce is ready to swoop for Spanish left-back Marcos Alonso - and give him his third spell in England. The Hammers are close to agreeing a bargain deal for Fiorentina defender Alonso, who played for Bolton and was at Sunderland on loan last season. Alonso is prepared to quit the Serie A side permanently and talks are advanced on a move to London. Allardyce needs a left back after losing George McCartney at the end of his contract and talented Alonso fits the bill. He hopes to agree a fee of around £1.5 million for Alonso, who has settled in English football and helped Sunderland to survive in the Premier League and reach the Capital One Cup Final last season. The cash-conscious club switched to Alonso after being priced out of a deal for French left-back Timothée Kolodziejczak of Nice.
Dragging their heels as usual mate. I'm sure Ellis hates spending money and wants everything on the cheap. Alonso should have been priority, IMO.
****ing up on contracts, players we've invested fortunes in going for **** all, a woman who is a lawyer but knows sweet **** all about football, like Greg Dyke, he's a **** as well. Maggie flutters her ****ing eyelids, flashes a bit of cleavage & Ellis gets a bonk on.
We might have put in an offer, but Alonso might of turned us down. It's not like we know what the board are doing, and they always play the cards close their chest. I prefer that to Arry's stlye talking about every single player he may or may not be interested in
I agree to an extent but think Quinny and Walton were no better. Anton Ferdinand on 50 after paying 8m and others of that calibre.
I think this is spot on - West Ham have reportedly offered silly money for varikous players in wages - If Gold and Sullivan want to do that then so be it - I'd rather our club was not held to ransom on wages
Spot on mate..It may be that he just prefers London rather than up here..Why look for negatives without knowing the facts..

Although there have been reports that West Ham United are close to agreeing a deal to sign Marcos Alonso, Gus Poyet has revealed that he is still hoping to sign the left back on a permanent basis. In an interview with Spanish publication MARCA about the World Cup, Poyet answered a question about whether he would be signing any Spanish players for the upcoming season; I'm there with 'Marquitos' Alonso, I already had him for six months. We are doing everything possible so that Fiorentina give him to us. That will be music to the ears of all Sunderland fans, Alonso played a big part in our 'Great Escape' and provided a reliable presence at left back after the disastrous first half of the season where we had to rely on players playing out out of position or, even worse, Andrea Dossena. Fiorentina reportedly want to take a look at Alonso in pre-season before making a decision on the Spaniard's future but with West Ham sniffing around the player, Poyet will be hoping to sign the popular 23-year-old sooner rather than later.
would like to think we are doing all we can to land him, just wonder how financially restrained Poyet is with wages and transfer fees etc. On Maggie, bet she gives a quality soapy tit w*nk haha
