While accusing people of being racist is very much en vogue, rumour has it, that the ref has perhaps been at it (from the Chelsea v Man U game). Although SSN are just saying the ref has used inappropriate language and not necessarily racist.

<laugh>. He probably said something jokingly to one of the players, as happens in every game, and because he robbed them of the game Chelsea have decided to have sour grapes and pull him up on it. Fair play to them I say.

Apparently Clattenberg thought a chelsea player called him a black ****, so he repeated the phrase back to the player just to clarify.
    Quite understandable Really.

I think they're alleging it happened after the game but I'm not sure.

The officials are wired for communicating but the rules do NOT allow it to be recorded.

Pots and Kettles spring to mind. How many times have you seen John Terry screaming and swearing at refs when a decision goes against them? every ****ing game. If he just swearing then so ****, it's a mans game, grow up or **** off.

I honestly can't believe that after everything that's gone on recently regarding racism, that the ref would be stupid enough to join in. Just smacks of sour grapes to me.

It was reported on Norwegian radio this morning that he called someone a Spanish twat.
I didn't see any players react to the ref apart from complaining about his decisions which all went one way
