This is how to run a football club, Arsenal

Discussion in 'The Premier League' started by CFC: Champs £launderx17, Apr 2, 2015.

?

Is it reasonable for a big club to expect to win big trophies whilst paying off a new stadium?

Or we could get a Russian Gangster to give us £958m so we can act like those ****s at Chelsea.

The two bit Yo-Yo club will carry on sucking Roman's cock like the whores they are all time he showers them with Rubles.

Without him they would be in the Championship. Chavs = Whore club who have simply had their bling bought for them by a rich sugar daddy.

This isnt about Chelsea though. What the article demonstrates is that those at the top of arsenal have rinsed and duped their fans for no reason over the last 9 yrs.

What makes it even more insane is that in the face of articles like this and others reported recently, the arsenal fans are still defending those who have duped them. Maybe it's a case of ignorance is bliss? Living in denial so they dont have to admit they've had their trousers pulled down?

Have to agree with this, Arsenal's board are all in it to make money when just about everybody else doesn't they are joined with Spurs as having the most tight fisted directors who prefer a bulging bank balance to success. Of course this has left the fans starved of everything they were used to.

They are going to be bitter and jealous of other successful clubs especially London rivals. Us having an owner who loves the club and cancelled our debt leaving us free to compete without the shackles of greedy directors is a constant source of amusement to us Chelsea fans.

But as you say its not about Chelsea but the way the real fans of Arsenal have been deceived and nearly got their best ever manager sacked as he took all the flack for a weak and greedy board whose only interest was in-fighting.

Apart from the fact that the directors at Arsenal don't pay themselves any dividends, so that kind of puts the 'they're in it for the money' argument down the ****ter doesn't it ? <ok>

I'm sure they get other remunerations that more than make up for it.

And the shareholders? What do they take?

    How very dare you <laugh>

Arsenal directors come and go, sometimes going in disgrace and sometimes taking a fat profit with them. To their credit, they do continue to vote year after year not to take dividends on shares they own (which only applies to Stan these days, of course). But some do take more in ‘fees’ and ‘expenses’ than others, not to mention the few who are salaried employees.

Here’s a handy table showing how much the Arsenal Board have taken since 2004. I’ve seen people say Stan Kroenke takes a salary of £1m a year – he doesn’t; it’s not £25k a week, it’s £25k for the year. Ivan Gazidis became the first non-football employee to take a base salary of £1m plus in 2011, though Keith Edelman had broken the £1m barrier with his bonuses taken into consideration.

Lord Harris seems like a decent chap, as he consistently refuses to take any expenses. The club make a donation to charity of their ‘standard’ expenses amount instead.

The fans subsidise Wenger's wages and the stadium with the most expensive tickets in Europe for **** all success.

A lot of Gooners I know have stopped going because the club rips the fans off and pretends to be well run club

  13. Out of interest, how much is a steak pie at The Library, these days? It used to be about £12.50, but I'm betting it's a lot more expensive than that, now.

    Am I right?

Surely the North London literati and intelligentsia wouldn't lower themselves to anything as common as a Steak Pie?

No, I'm afraid you're wrong again HIAG.

In fact, whilst they are sold by a private entrepreneur, Arsenal have one of the highest rated pies in the UK. My friend at Piebury corner has made a very successful business out of selling 'themed' pies on match days. They have had plenty of national press and TV coverage. Voted best pies at Premiership grounds <ok>

I wonder if Roman subsides the pies at Chavworld too ? <whistle>

Of course we don't - I go to the Quality Fish Bar for a slap up fish dinner.
I will visit it today and as it is an early kick off I may go for an all day full English breakfast and a tea.

The food at the Emirates is rather good but like most grounds it ain't cheap! But a pie for £12.50 has never been on the menu.
HIAG and NSSP please let me know what you have to eat next time you go to see that financially well managed club of yours, who unlike the ****s at Chelsea don't owe the Russian Mafia £958m yet claim to be debt free and play within FFP !

Roman buys the pies at Chavworld.

Chavski can't afford them as a club, but Roman's secret recipe is the chopped up body parts of his gangsta rivals and tons of 'hush' money

How big do you guys think this ticket price protest will be. I mean, how many are actually liable to boycott the first 10 mins?

We did ok when we increased Old Trafford throughout the 90s and early 00s.

Swansea seemed to manage a trohpy shortly after a new stadium.

Juventus don't appear to have too many problems. Porto too, Benfica...

Other clubs manage to balance both. Npt Arsenal though. They do it right....
