Having watched the team at pre season training on QPR Player it has left me breathless. We have IMO the best QPR squad of all time and lads this is it ... The big time. Any knockers of this current squad should bow their heads in shame, lets never forget the journey we come on so far but **** me we have a stable of racehorses To those who think this squad is old you know very little about football. Dyer looks sharp SWP Betty I am calling directly here for all of us to get behind this team as I believe you will have egg on your face if you don't I fully expect us to pull clear of a lot of teams this year. It time to unite and i can only sense good things ... Can we all please try and not slag our players off ... try it ... it feels good and that good energy delivers ... its that simple
I am waiting to see how this team looks on the tour. I stood alone I know but in the end I think I made a creditable point about the margin between 7th and 17th TBH i still think that for a team with the changes we had to put with we were outstanding ... at LR when we applied ourselves could anyone deny we looked like a top 8 club. MH will push us on now and seriously i already have us able to do a Everton ... we simply have a great squad and its topped with players who gets results
Really looking forward to it, but I won't worry too much about the results or performances on tour, Sparky will be testing a load of things out, plus it will be sensationally hot and humid. Agree on the squad, if the team can get anywhere near the 74-77 one we will be in heaven. Its a silly game to play but at the moment the only player from that team I'd replace with one of the current is Hollins by Diakite, reckon there may be a few more by the end of the season though.
In with you there DT....the whole aura around the club is so positive, every little thing!!!! Get behind the team....it is going to be a fantastic season.............................COME ON U RRRRRRRRRRRRrs. Anything is possible...don't limit your dreams with the ceiling of the room ....look to the stars and beyond
without doubt this could be a good season & should be looking for a top ten finish, once the complete squad is finalised we should have a formidable team to compete against so called bigger teams its just a question of gelling quick & to what system sparky plays, that is the bit thats interesting me, away i reckon 5 across midfield, home tba advised just can't wait..
I'd happily settle for a boring mid table finish with a cheeky little cup run thrown in for good measure
As far as I'm concerned, a good season would be surviving comfortably, getting a few away wins under our belts, developing an exciting attacking style of play, seeing the disparate characters in the side come together and gel, saying goodbye to the red card blight, Adel putting a few away, and stop the negative focus on Norwich, Swansea and others. Too much to ask for? Don't think so.
I love the Swans but could we of had a better opening game? We need to dispatch them with a comprehensive start, before putting the truth to bed at Norwich once and for all ... just feel the positive waves IF that happens ... played two seven goals scored none conceded and top of the premiership ... we then go to City and .......????
We are really very fortunate indeed to have these men on board. Whatever the West Ham fans say (wasn't there one Hammers blogger last season who seemed a bit QPR obsessed) they must be absolutely gutted that their equivalent of Flav and Bernie did not sell to Fernandes. Only 37 days to go!!
Of course we will DT What's going on now is absolutely fantastic. It's just hard to take in and believe for many hardened R after all we've been through. And right you are about belief too, if this isn't a time to believe in the team/club then when the **** is it?! Can't wait for it all to start because this crop of players is second to none of anything I can remember us having (born in 1979). Time to stop talking though, now it's time for actions to back it all up. YOU R'S!!!
It would be great to beat both but if we beat Swansea by a margin going to Norwich and singing "Top of the League" would be very sweet indeed.
Good post DT / JP / FJ / TBGTDT I too think this could be one of the best QPR sides I've seen and certainly the best one for many many a year. I'm quite happy just having a settled pre-season!
top 10 finish..dont think we're that good yet...... I predicted 17th last year and this year go for around 10th - 12th....Next year 9th or so ..steady progression i hope!!
This is disturbing. Recent developments leave very little room for us traditional QPR glass half full merchants to fully enjoy our pessimism. I'm seriously thinking of writing to TF asking him to slow things down so I can have time to adapt. I may have to go and watch a couple of Brentford games to satisfy my needs in this department. Shocking really, no consideration from the club as ever.
Darn Tootin'!!!! My trip to Norwich last year......was one of the worst saturdays of my life (due to a whole load of other extenuating circumstances). I think its about time we actually beat them. So, this time I'm gona go again, and hope Taarabt right royally and proverbially bird poops all over them....HUZZAH!!!
