Something very wrong when a decent team on paper is playing as bad as us. Losing away at City is one thing, but at home to a poor Villa side points to a relegation battle. Still think MON is too good for this to last, but I'd hate to see another wasted season. Looks already that the second derby game is our cup final. I am now neither optimistic nor pessimistic. Just going with the flow, as usual...
Doesn't matter how good MON has proven he is/was now. If things don't turn around in the next half a dozen games he needs to go. Regrettable but at that point confidence will be shot amongst the players along with the fans. He needs to turn it around pronto. We're in a relegation fight at the moment.
I'm sick to death of look at what he has done in the past! He has been out a long time, football has moved on. He hasn't got his number 2 this time Previous success doesn't guarantee success. Thanks Marty but it's not working, time to go.
I agree with all of the above but I'd give him a little longer. Confidence in him severely knocked now.
This is what playing dour football can result in. It's fast becoming a tough call as to how long we keep going with mon. It's seems silly to think that he may only have another 5 games to turn it around, but let's be honest: that's the reality. I really want it to work out with him though.
I remember when he left Villa & reading how happy the players were about it. He's as past his best as a piece of mouldy knob cheese.
Maybe but he can **** off back to Londonfuckingderry as far as I'm concerned. His record here is worse than Bruce's. That's all I need to know.
Oh but because he has had previous success, he is the man to turn it around and finally bring us success.
Aye, & I used to be able to take a piss in the morning & then forget about it for the afternoon. Now I have to go more often, lol. It's called getting older.
