Stuff like this makes me question some of the low life supposedly supporting football clubs incl ours
I agree utterly disgusting, but I’d question “death threats”, there are a couple and I know that doesn’t excuse the behaviour but even on here there is often a lot of hatred said in anger and the heat of the moment. Edit - Read them again and notice she actually uses the term abuse, it’s Totally Leeds that uses the term death threats
I'm not really happy with Bamford. I come on here and have a moan and a whinge. I might even swear at the tellybox a bit out of frustration but to personally seek out a person on social media and have a go is another level completely. I don't understand the mentality, what good can come of it?
I was thinking some more about this, Bamford doesn’t miss on purpose, we all know he’s a confidence player. Sam had the experience to take Meslier out of the firing line but allows Bamford to take the penalty, quite staggering really.
I’m trying to be careful as I don’t wish to seem like I’m defending anyone. Looking at those tweets, they were not sent to Bamford or his misses, they weren’t tagged in them either. They would have only been found if you follow the person tweeting them, or specifically searched for “Bamford”. Bamford and or his misses must have specifically been looking for them, again I’m not defending anyone but it would seem Michaelea went looking for them
So what if she went looking for them. People shouldn't be doing it, no excuses. I doubt she went looking for them. I imagine she's been informed of the sort of abuse he was receiving and was worried about the safety of her family.
I was replying to Emu. Emu said he wouldn’t “personally seek out someone on social media” and these people didn’t either. So looking at it from another angle, is saying it on a forum any different from saying it on your own social media account. It’s food for thought, I’d never wish him or anyone else dead, I’d swear and moan how useless they were in this forum but not social media. Question is does that make me better or no different
To be honest, I don't do social media at all. It's a cesspit. I don't need that in my life. Then we could move on to the guy who ran on the pitch and shoved Howe. How the **** could he think that was a good idea?
It’s a whole different thing criticising a miss on here or in your sitting room or whatever and wishing someone dead on a platform hoping himself and his family see it
You only have to walk around most towns these days to worry about safety with the amount of ******s that seem to be around, I don't know what's happened to society in the last 30 odd years but call me an old dinosaur but it definitely wasn't anything like it is when I was a teen..... social media is unfortunately a big reason for the breakdown with everything being filmed and put on platforms and morons threatening this and that .... thank **** I've had better times
Fully agree. I really wonder what world our grandkids will grow up in. I’m lucky to live in a small rural village. Youngsters all dedicated to the local gaa club and zero crime. I hate big towns or cities, awful places now, 50 years ago it was a thrill to visit them
I've just moved from a medium sized town to a small village. Gangs of (basically) kids were running rampage all over. Police did nothing apart from arrest the odd bloke who kicked **** out of them now and then. There's no repercussions for this lot.
Even with my limited coaching ability, I would have let Rodrigo take it. He might have missed or had it saved as well, but I'd have been more confident with him.
We see it that way but youngsters brought up on social media don’t. I’m sure they do it just for clicks and likes and attention. You get people like Logan Paul making a fortune on social media probably never doing a real days work in his life, then you get the likes of Pierce Morgan (and others who are worse) feeling it’s okay to spread hatred and those posting Bamford type hate posts see it no differently
