Two more goals from Michael Smith and what sounds like a thoroughly good all-round team performance. http://www.cafc.co.uk/page/reservesdetail/0,,10267~2532323,00.html Top marks to whoever scouted him. I'd certainly like to see him on the bench on Saturday and to get a twenty minute or so run out. Houndal, you'll be pleased to see that Reuben ROVER was in the line-up.
I was pleasantly surprised with Michael Smith against Halifax the other week when he made his little cameo, would certainly prefer to see him start ahead of Euell on Saturday.
Parnaby only played 40 minutes, which is strange. (Even Fortune lasted 65 minutes). Maybe Parnaby took a knock, or maybe the management had seen all they needed to see (in the bad sense).
I'm starting to think that Sho-Silva may beat both Cousins and Harriott (again) into a regular first teamer. He is a first year scholar against second year for the other two.
Funny, I could have sworn I replied to this last night! Good to see the youngsters playing well, the goals only came after they were introduced. Smith will certainly have helped his chances of appearing on Saturday with those 2 goals. No Youga though... It's unfortunate that Ephraim isn't allowed to play in the FA Cup and doesn't seem to playing in reserve friendlies, as it means he won't get a game for 2 weeks when he is clearly lacking match fitness.
Not too worried about Ephraim not playing as it seems he's very much only here for the short-term at the moment, seeing his future in the Premier League. Would like to give Harriott another go in the FA Cup. Smith on the bench (but I'm sorry to say I don't want to see Euell back in the side at all).
