http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/england/9616504/After-hateful-scenes-at-England-U21s-Serbia-clash-enough-is-enough-an-open-letter-to-Uefa-president-Michel-Platini.html This is well worth a read and, perhaps, many of us can look back at a time when we may have been of a similar mindset to Stuart Pearce - like him I regret it; is that a growing awareness or is the problem as bad as it seems to be?
Well structured letter, and if Plattini has anything about him, as he does appear to be an intelligent human being, then he should take it upon himself to crack down hard on these countries, unlike the buffoon that is head of FIFA.
There are too many long memories of England's supporters forays into Europe, consisting of hooligans and their shenanigans, for Europe to forgive and forget. And now with none UK people at the top of these organisations I don't expect any firm conclusions to all this, even if racism is a problem with other countries. Its payback time for England, goal line technology? no chance, not until it favoured England in one game that was then it was time to take a serious interest in the technology. Riots and deaths at football matches have occurred all over Europe http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football_hooliganism but England are still punished for misdemeanour's of decades ago and I can't see it altering any time soon. A good open letter.
