Just been over and had a look at Saintsweb. Has made me very grateful I chose Not 606. On the whole the Sainst fans on here are very knowledgeable and passionate in their views without being insulting. Long may it continue!

Was a moderator for a time on TSW. It started off reasonably, having taken over from Saints Forever, which had been a good forum for several years. Like many things, which involve groups of people with something a little special happening about them, other people wanted to be involved, and the good people wanted to be inclusive. Well, you would want to share. But then the very people who were destined to spoil the show were allowed to join in. They made alliances, got a little power base going, then started to be a little less than civil about things, and so on. When people protested that it was one thing thing to make a point, but not to humiliate others in doing so, the usual answer was that if you couldn't take a little honest wordage, don't turn up. Forgetting, all the while that they were there because good people had wanted to share what was happening. For a long while I hoped that a few wise words would make the offenders think again [and it did for along time], but then it seemed they would only be content with being handed penalties and bannings, In the end loads of good people left, because they were sick and tired of what had become of their talking place, and had given up hope it might get better. There are still some who I am in contact with occasionally, and they know who they are. Let's not have the same happen here, yes..?
The Saints web Away section is really good though,we should have a sticky here on just upcoming away days. with tips on travel arrangements and train bargains and such
I tried to sign up on it and every time i click on something to reply to a thread or create a thread it says that i can't. Its like i have been banned but i have never posted anything on it. It also won't let me send message to moderators. just wondering if anyone else had this problem? or how do i solve it? i have confirmed by email address and everything.
I had this for some unknown reason. The site owner said he didn't know either. I just made a new account. Hope that helps.
Saints web is run by some power hungry tools, Steve grant is decent enough though. Saints Forever will be replicated by another forum.
I've been a serial reader of most Saints forums since I moved away from Southampton and this one is the only one that I felt compelled to join. I have been most impressed by everyones knowledge and passion here, even if I sometimes disagree with a post, I appreciate what has been written and the reasons behind it and not once been abused for my opinions. Give yourself a pat on the back people. Amen

This is the best Saints forum, bar none. Morons and trolls ('unhinged and unbalanced' is a good description of them, Richisontheboat33!) run riot on TSW, there is almost no moderation, despite the fact there are admins and moderators, and people who posted on there and its predecessor SF in the past were driven out by flaming and abuse. I know we have disagreements here as well as the odd argument, but it's not a patch on that lunatic asylum. I'm glad I found Not606, because it's the only viable forum (there are others but they are very quiet) to talk about Saints, long may it continue!
