Leeds chelsea, spurs, man utd, man city and many others have suffered ignominy of relegation. It want that long ago that many were praising stoke for their ability to get top 10 finishes year after year and were very hard to beat. Looking odds on to join us in div 1 next season. Getting back with the big boys requires a good manager. Infrastructure, shiny training facilities etc etc wont make a jot of difference. We need someone to get us out of this league then maybe someone else to help us go after the glittering prizes. I'd be utterly surprised if Parkinson could be the former. He is definitely not the latter. That donald continues to heap praise on hill speaks volumes about the direction we are heading. PP is exactly the sort of manager that donald and hill like. A compliant sort who will do his best to cobble a team together that can compete but little else. Pitiful really
A great match to have watched and an unbelievable result that nobody could find fault with - oops 5, 4, 3, .....
I never get bored of watching Onuoahs goal. We was quality for us, im suprised he never went on to have a more successful career. I was desperate for us to sign him permanently at the time.
I bet he was cringing with himself after that. The excitement got the better of him..... He was another quality player for us aswell. Top lad aswell. Hed spend ages outside the ground on match day signing autographs, while miserable tw@ts like Kenwyne Jones just walked past and ignored everyone.
9 years, damn. What a day that was, probably the best away performance of my lifetime when you consider the quality of them, played them off the park for a big chunk of the game.
A Chelsea supporter when congratulating us added that it was the best performance at Stamford Bridge by an away side for many many a year
That was a great result and game and what we should all be fighting to get back to.. It will only happen if the fans reunite with the club and fight together..
