    From today's DM -

Chris Hughton plans to raid Birmingham for star defender Curtis Davies once he is unveiled as Norwich boss.
Hughton is set to be named the Canaries’ new manager on Thursday, to succeed new Aston Villa gaffer Paul Lambert. Hughton is taking his Blues assistants Colin Calderwood, Paul Trollope and the Championship club's chief scout Ewan Chester with him.

Cash-strapped Birmingham have let highly-rated Hughton to speak to Norwich, and are set to receive £2million in compensation.

This could add a bit of badly needed steel to our defence. <ok>

Looks like no place for IC and GK though

IC and GK will follow Lambert. They were always going to.

As long as they pay some compo....we've had a habit of letting people go cheap but McNally will be on the case.

I think it will have to go to a tribunal. Villa are saying 'no compo due, as Lambert had resigned and was therefore not contracted to NCFC any longer', hence the stand-off in reaching agreement.
