....................sounds a lot, but it makes sense.

Apart from the PL money earned from televised games, overseas payments etc, the PL merit payment based on table finishing position can pay for a loan arrangement - you can get your money back in May, and if it comes off big time, a club can even make some good money out of it.

Last season, the merit payment alone ranged from £15M for Man U down to just £750k for bottom club QPR. Swansea got £9M from this particular pot for finishing in 10th..

Costs incurred in bringing in a player on loan can be potentially covered by finishing a couple of places higher in the table - that's all that's required.

Even Sunderland who just escaped in 17th got over £3M merit payment - over £2M more than bottom club QPR - and what's more, they stayed in the Premier league.

If Zaha helps to get us a couple of finishing places higher in the table, he would have cost us nothing as well as probably keeping us up - sound business.

Yes, it's good deal whichever way you look at it.
Just need these players needing to prove a point.
Ole says no more signings but I swear there was a glint in his eye when he said it, more loans maybe with the same idea.
At least he hasn't blown the budget getting maybe's in.

If he can get you out of trouble then it will be worth it but if you get relegated it wont...It's a chance you have to take at this stage.
