It's common knowledge that I have been seeking a third mod and it seems to me there are a lot of younger,I mean teens and twenties members on our board, they have a language, culture and a 21st century lifestyle and approach that we need to reach out too for our board members of that age group.I fully intend to do that,we will then cover all the age groups..

I have got three very strong contenders(you know who you are) but,I'm putting this to all BCFC people,if you have any ideas or you want to have a go,pm me or put it up on this thread, telling me(us) why, nice and simple and easy to read,it would not hurt for previous contacts to give me their ideas as well,no joke if it means anything to you,let me know,it's a hard task and not a badge just to wear on your chest, fellow members and BCFC come first..

Who ever get's it will try it for a month and see if they enjoy it,if not,it's not a problem we try again, remember this is important for us to grow and keep us in touch with younger thinking people, you will also be an equal member of our team with Angelic and me...

    Time limit 7 days....7th march.....

    Cheers ..wiz..

I would put my hat in the ring if I had the time but unfortunately I'm currently changing careers from practicing law to teaching it so I can have more time to enjoy life whilst still earning a decent wage. But at the moment it's all too hectic working and studying for my PGCE.

However, my nomination would be Shiny - young, optimistic and most importantly fair unless Marv is involved ;) Seems to be a cracking lad who I have a lot of time for.

Finally, Wiz you're doing a storming job! Keep up the good work. I tend to ignore the Gas banter and focus on the more serious threads/conversations/debates. If think if more of us ignored them they would get the picture.

    wiz <ok>

im not provoking here, im just making a point, a valid point. i appreciate that this would not be the thread for it but im adding it here as a comment from matt above gives me the example i like to use for my point. a few people seem to think that us gasheads are to blame for everything on your board. the odd thread appears on your board as a wum from us. were to blame. i get that as we caused it. but then there are threads made on your board as a wum in retaliation to something that was put on the gas board by a red wum. we still get the blame. then there are threads where im certain that us gas would of avoided on your board but someone on your side adds a sly dig about us or rovers knowing full well that we will see it and then give attention to it which the would ruin that thread as the wums from both sides show up which we have all been guilty on including you and me of course!

now matts comment i know is not meant as a dig but i can see people who would read into it as a dig at us. therefore could get attention (now 3 replies to your thread - 2 are gasheads including me) and only reason why chris has made a comment as me now is due to the last line which will graw attention. last few days i have seen a lot of posts indicating that everything is our fault. sorry but that is not the case. everyone is to blame on both sides including you and me. again im not provoking so please dont take it that way, im just showing an example of why things happen. hope you understand what i mean <ok>

hope you had a good day :). i didnt. i went to wembley :(

My vote would of gone to Ashton Matt for two reasons and it's a shame that he has declined it.
    1. He always seems to talk sense and ask for others opinions rather than just saying his opinion is correct and leaving it as that.
    2. He's Welsh like me :)
Good luck with your search Wiz, and I also think you are doing a good job

PS good luck with your training Matt

not that great. its been along time since i been to an england game so i expected better to be honest. but then again, its just a friendly, we didnt look that good maybe due to inexperience and the dutch being good on the ball, so not much to sing about. there was more moaning then encouragement. seems like the norm in club football. its like everybody expected a 4-0 win! i always find the travelling fans to england games have the best atmosphere. <ok>

Thank's for your observations,as you say this is a thread away from all of that stuff,I'm passed trying to appropriate blame mate,I've moved on,I take the point what a lot of your acolytes have said,it's only a forum and I've got to get a life.

My nose is firmly out of the gashead pie,I'm not interested anymore, the only time they'll get any bother from me is on this forum, when and if it's required.

On a personal note, you are a tryer,I know that and you have a good day as well..

    Thanks Redordead!

It's starting to take its toll now mate. I'm on countdown until Easter for my two week break! Haha!

I went to the Gary Speed Memorial game last night - Wales were a little flat last night, probably the occasion and with no Bale or Ramsey we looked a bit one dimensional.

Nevertheless we were still the better team and but for the crossbar, a few decent saves by their keeper and a goal disallowed for offside which wasn't we would have got at lease a draw if not a win.

Disappointed to see no City players in the squad though. Nyatanga has dropped way down the pecking order and Ribs and Wilson have understandably had no look ins. I really thought Ribs would be first choice Wales right back for years though because he is better than Chris Gunter in my opinion. Shame he's so injury prone :(

I would also like to recommend Shiny for the 82 3rd mod role - he's a better speller than me! :emoticon-0184-tmi:

I too would also like to nominate Shiny. If I was asked for my opinion when not 606 first started, 'Shiny as a moderator'- the ultimate wind-up. However Shiny has matured, and in many debates has put over meaningful and moderator type comments, yet still showing the passion for Bristol City. The only drawback, and something you will probably echo, Wiz, is the time demands encumbant on such a post. As a matter of interest how many hours a week do you spend as moderator- I guess it is equivalent to a full-time job to do it justice.

Manx, it's not quite as hectic as that but it certainly keeps me on the hop between other things,It's normally a bit of fun and I kid myself I'm doing it for our fans and the boys in Red,it also brings fans together here in Bristol from all over the place and we share a common identity.( just look where you are domicile).

Downside the wife gets a bit pissy when I disappear into my little workshop....

I reckon you should be glad anyones applied at all...but to make people do public 'performances' for a voluntary wageless and lets be fair meaningless job is a bit up yourself tbh.
