How about some suggestions for managers that are not currently being talked about: 1. Lucien Favre - manager of Borussia Monchengladbach According to Wikipedia (so it must be true) Lucien Favreâs teams play a dynamic, quick and attacking minded football where ball possession and change of tempo alternate. This attractive style of play has brought results in every club he has managed. Furthermore, Favre is very skillful tactically, leaving his opponents struggling to penetrate his well-organized sides. Lucien Favre is also well known for his ability to develop talented young players and introduce them into the first team.
interesting thought and one i'd had too. done a sterling job at moenchengladbach this season - speaks 7 languages is it?! a risk of course, suddenly moving to england, and the reason i've never thrown him in to the reckoning is that he looks forward to the prospect of champions league football next term. if we're looking abroad, paul ashdown has connections to the club but not sure he's an appropriate candidate. so much experience though!
I've said it before and I'll say it again - Paul Tisdale has done a remarkable job at Exeter. I think that, this year especially, expectations caught up with them, but he so nearly got them into the play-offs in 2011. Besides this, he plays an exciting, attacking brand of football and has a very tactical mind. He also got Bath promoted 4 times and has been at Exeter since 2005(?) so is certainly a very loyal manager. He's also got a great fashion sense.
i've long lauded his achievements at exeter - been telling the ipswich chaps (honestly but begrudgingly) that he'd be the right man for them after jewell. his stock has fallen this season and i think the leap to the premier league is undoubtedly too big for him. he needs a stepping stone job - someone like ipswich or cardiff (should we take mackay) would be perfect. nice collection of head wear as you say
Not so much outside the box. But I think if Di Matteo doesn't get the Chelsea job we have a chance of getting him. I remember reading that he wants to manager a Prem team next season if Chelsea don't offer it him than he may be tempted because I think we are an attractive proposition. We are "project" material in my opinion with a young squad and the club being well run we do have capacity to grow. I am not saying into a Champions League team or anything like that but I think we definitely have not reached our peak. We can establish ourselves in the league, possibly go for a cup, as well as that I think our squad has time on their side and now with a year of Premier League football they'll continue to get better. Could be externally debt free in a year, and already have a competitive budget for this year. Maybe I am miles off but if he wants Prem management...
