    1. Why the f*ck do we shout SHOOOOOOOOOOT whenever anyone is in space within 40 yards? If someone like Shelvey is free from 25 yards then sure, but if f*cking Dummett is free from 30 yards then you don't shout shoot!!

    2. It's been 2 years, why are we still clapping at 17 minutes? Surely enough time has passed already? What if a player dies. Are we going to clap for 5 years? 10? It was a lovely display of affection but it's gone on for too long now to the point where some people are wondering what the hell is going on.

    And most importantly -

    3. Why the hell do we not recognise that one our biggest assets is the support and atmosphere created by our supporters, and teams will come here deliberately try to piss us off to take that advantage from us? They will deliberately waste time, mess about and do things that get the fans riled up and creating a harsher atmosphere so it that effects are own players. But no, many of our fans are too stupid to see this so they starting booing which turns the atmosphere from cheering our own players on to getting angry at everything.

If opposition teams start trying to piss us off, then we should cheer our own players on harder, and beat them so we can wipe the smug smiles off the cheeky c*nts!

    Cheer Newcastle always!

    1) I've never heard anyone shout shoot for Dummet
unless it was Dummet should be shot (which he shouldn't, I add)

people who have had a skinfull and can't hold out for 45mins leaving their seats twice a half
guy who sits in front to the left abit always comes in late 20mins in he has to go, then he comes back then leaves 5mins before half time
    repeat for second half
when we score, and every one is jumping up and down I tend to punch him in the face (just can't help it)
and he still doesn't know who hits him <laugh>

The things that nark me the most:

    1) People getting up every few mins to get food/ drink/ go for a slash. It's a football match, not a day out.
    2) 17th minute applause - Nice gesture at the time but it's just bordering on ridiculous now. Are we going to do it for the rest of eternity? Time to move on.
    3) The silent brigade at St James. The atmosphere is terrible. Bring in safe standing and move the quiet ones to a quiet area.

Leaving at 85 minutes, regardless of the score. Why ?

All of the above are correct, though I thought the "SHOOOOOOOOOT" thing as always a bit tongue-in-cheek, particularly when it's with the likes of Lascelles or Dummett or Anita 50 yards from goal.

The 17th minute thing is just embarrassing now.

The silence is a problem anywhere, it's not just our ground.

That's why safe standing needs to be introduced. Event management and technology together with health and safety has moved on so much that a repeat of Hillsborough is unlikely. Fans want standing and most fans stand at away games anyways. The lower Leazes, paddocks and Gallowgate lower are ripe for development as standing areas. The noise would come back to St James and other grounds. I would personally go one further and turn either the Gallowgate or Leazes into an entire safe standing area a la Dortmund. Leave the seats for those that want to sit and watch in silence.

I agree, although it would mean that I would have to move from that area
not sure if I can stand for 90 odd minutes with my back in the seasons to come

All of the above. When I took my 8 yr old to the Wolves defeat, one of the most turgid performances ever, she said on 85mins "Why are they leaving dad, its not finished?" The poor little sod was bored to the back teeth, as was I, but you never know. I know sure as hell booling out at 85mins isn't a great motivator for the players.

She was quite funny actually. I taught her a few songs leading up to her first match. Obviously we are sat slap bang in the middle of the posh bit. She was just randomly trying to start singing at various stages. The radgies in front of us were loving it and joining in. She was asking why nobody was singing much (bar the away fans and the Gallowgate), I said because they're all boring kidda. I got a few looks.

Debating when to take my girl, she's 5 and I think she would enjoy it, but perhaps not last a whole game! but I do fear she wouldnt stop singing Mitro's on fire or even Oh Collocini, although the words have changed to I'd Let you kiss my wife!

She has my old one since i upgraded, can be a lifesaver when out and about. I was thinking take the Mrs and if the lil one gets too much, they can both go and leave me to watch the game in peace, but I think that kinda goes against the whole purpose of taking her!

    No Chippy, no.

If we've had to suffer over the years why should she get it easy. Make her get there before the game and then stay all of the game to the very end. It'll make a man of her...

    :emoticon-0138-think

Seriously though I took mine to a few reserve games first and Whitley Bay games before then embarking on a first team game. I also used to take flasks of pop, sweets and other food so they would stay til the end. Problem was in one game in particular which was a reserve game I spent half the second half going with my son to the toilet resulting in me missing three of the goals in that game. Sounds a bit like going to a game with No Chance.

Lols, fill em with a flask of pop and not expecting the toilet breaks! kinda mistake I would make, but not now!

The lower league game is a good shout, but it bores me, I find the lower standard so dull, I dont wanna put her off before she starts! She might enjoy it, I think I'll give it a go

Difficult at 5 mate. The reality is they have very low attention spans. The whole first time experience was just about enough to see her through at 8. She also got to meet Freddie Woodman pre match and got her photo taken with him which she thought was great fun. Mind if it had been a better game I think she'd have enjoyed it more. I can see the cold weather also being a problem at 5.

People who fart all over people in the stands.

    Booing.

Irrational criticism of certain players (usually local lads) irrespective of their performances.
