This just caught my eye and I fully agree with banning disposable vapes, in a world where we are meant to be environmentally conscious it’s ridiculous that these are allowed.

Also the age restrictions are definitely not working, pretty sure some parents are just giving them to their kids based on the number of school kids using them. I know someone who works in a school and it’s becoming a big problem (it’s a bloody primary school!). If it was up to me I’d be banning flavoured vapes completely.

This is Abby Flynn, she is 20 years old and she has been told she could end up needing an oxygen machine by 30. This is because she became so addicted to her vape, that she even fell asleep holding it.
She claims she's never smoked a cigarette in her life, but started using disposable vapes around a year and a half ago as they became 'trendy'. However, she soon became so addicted she puffed through one disposable a day, which is the equivalent to 140 cigarettes a week, and at £4.50 a pop, the habit set her back by £135 a month.
The former supermarket maintenance coordinator said that as time went by her cough got progressively worse until she couldn't breathe last month, so dashed to hospital. Abby was taken into resus and was given oxygen, x-rays and medication and that's when she received the diagnosis.

Was walking through the carpark of Tesco next to the Stadium the other day. Lass was on her phone as she was putting her Gym bag in the boot of her car. She was saying on the phone that she had just finished at the gym and was heading back into Tesco for a few bits, she then put her NHS lanyard on while wearing her gym gear and headed off into the shop. Why put the lanyard on to go shopping? Found it a tad odd.

Do they receive a discount?

yeah they get blue light discount along with carers etc but as far as I'm aware, that's a card or an app, no need for a lanyard.

Tesco aren't part of the blue light discount, Asda are the only supermarket that are.

You are right though it is odd, during covid they were all wearing their nhs lanyards as they were getting priority over the queues etc.. maybe it has just stuck with some?

Took a week or so, and ended up with this.
The clear body is painted on the inside, 4 coats of metallic orange, 1 coat of silver to bring out the metallic, and a coat of black to make it opaque. We'll pleased with how it came out.
The dog is **** scared of it.
