OK all i seem to be reading at the moment is "This mod did this, this mod did that."
Don't get me wrong if you haven't modded a forum before it can be difficult, especially when this forum is being advertised on a large site which is closing.
Are any of you aware of a site called Pir8forums? I was a mod on that, fortunately not one of the many (and owner) that went to prison.
When the FBI, yes the FBI, closed Pir8forums i was one of the founders of a site called MDS which took most of pir8's user's. I still have all of its member's email address's from when the server "mysteriously" was closed down.

One thing i've learnt from over the years is that a forum should practically run itself.
For a start all of the WUM complaints mean's one thing, to create an area where arguements, bad language etc etc are acceptable and to some extent un-moderated.
606 was completely modded, and the freedom we have here is maybe tipping us all over the edge and in x amount of time we'll all calm down from the excitement that we can say ****.

I'd say that for the next week or so this site needs to seriously undergo some changes and listen hard to its users. It need's to cater for a lot of tastes, those that choose to wum, those that want to steer clear of it, let alone each and every team.
The voting for a mod thing to me is only going to elect a member from a clique, and from what i've seen nobody has been asked how much experience they have.
For each member you have on here you've probably got another one who won't dare to post and will eventually stop reading. 606 user's are also apparently commenting on how bad thing's are here.

In my experience i've found that member's are more than mature enough to vote for the rules and regulation's they'd like to stick to. For me the United and Arsenal board have the most problem's. Why not have a "United Vs Arsenal" board temporarily?.
Stop closing thread's and warning member's, because the reason they are currently on this site is for the freedom they didn't have on 606.
I'm a wum, lol, its funny to know you're winding up a rival, and there's so many on here don't waste the talent, use it wisely.

I've thought about joining a rival site or starting my own again recently, as i'm, sure other's have.

Kwik, I think the owner has just handed out the Mod rights to the wrong people, that's just my opinion. I think we should consider having another vote.

Some of the posters on here say the most disgusting things and yet again do not get banned, but when the sensible committed users post on a different board to the team they support, they receive a instant ban! I honestly think action should be taken immediately.

The mod's i think (and not all) have an agenda against fan's of other club's.
There's a simple solution, and even simpler ways of helping thing's but i can't say it publicly as it gives the game away.

 

Kwik, I don't see why being a mod of another board should get in the way of the team someone supports.

 

It shouldn't. As i say a mod should be impartial.
I said from the off that running a site needs experience, i did offer when i joined but wasn't even given the honour of a reply.

We've got a group of people who've been rowing with each other moderated, now are mod's themselves, unmoderated and without being questioned.
Like i say i'm not criticizing them, just saying that these thing's come in time, unfortunatley this site has flooded with member's and mod's have been called in a panic.

 

Limewire got shut recently aswell. That proper pissed me off had been using it for years. Now I use ares. Its the only one like limewire, the rest are all well complicated, you click on a download and it would take you to another website.

Limewire is the dodgiest thing ever, i looked up "Ford Fiesta service manual" and you'd get loads of matches like "Peadophile ****s 14yr old Ford Fiesta service manual"

Kwik some inaccuracies in your accounts with PIR8 & MDS. You were NOT a mod on pir8 when the owner was sent down, it continued to run with certain Mod's in place and a global Admin account which mod's had. NOT YOU!

You were NOT a founder of MDS either, there were two founders, You simply was made a mod, and eventually were given the site and hostname as the founders could not be bothered with it.
