still no contracts signed by alleged preferred bidder. things have now come to a head with the players, they are threatening to boycott their trip to burton this saturday. this was on local bbc lunchtime news. players are talking about having to sell their houses because they cannot keep up mortgages.
so far players and manager have been most loyal but i suspect they have had enough as well as the fans.
the admin man brendan guilfoyle needs a good horsewhipping for ruining or nearly ruining a great club in distress without a paddle

peter reid manager asked the admin man 2 questions this morning and got no reply.
1 where has all the money gone for advanced ticket sales
2 where has the money gone for home attendences.

no wonder the players staff and manager has not been paid for 10 months, small wonder the players are finally going on strike

the club may be liquidated unless the other consortium can come up with the cash. they should be allowed to pay in stages to save plymouth from extinction. the debt is far too much for the fans to raise. the deficit of £17million has been whittled down to £6million, still too much for many

this is the tip of the iceberg, in the next decade there is going to be a lot of this going on so i wouldn't be too bothered, until football is changed radically...why moan!...lets keep burying our heads in the sand!

Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool are three big clubs brought into debt by being purchased.

they have had 14 deadlines. last friday the admin man was satisfied the money was in place, contracts to be signed this week. so far no money and not one of 14 contracts signed yet. player strike is over providing 40% of wages paid in bank by 5pm tonight. given the history of admin and consortium senior players may still strike. coach containing players left plymouth for burton at 12 noon. peter reid backs his players 100% green army

Non-league's not the end of the world and that's where clubs should go if they can't pay their way at their current level. No-one could blame the players for striking. How many of us would have worked this long for no pay and having been fobbed off with empty promises along the way?

i heard it on local bbc news and it is in the south west regional paper today, the western morning news. kevin heaney is the leader of this gib based irish consortium and is chairman ot truro fc so technically he is not allowed to have any dealings or hold a position in another football club. the league are supposed to be making a statement next thursday. but heaneys mob have lost exclusive rights, another consortium is interested but brendan guilfoyle admin., will not speak to them and has disapeared.

Plymouth would survive if the club went bust. There are too many passionate fans to let them vanish. Newport, Aldershot, Wimbledon, Chester, Telford etc - all went into "oblivion", all returned stronger. I'm sure a new Plymouth Argyle would emerge.

yes but how do fans raise 6 million, it has to be a combination of business men and fans, and unless this consortium hand over the money this week it may be too late for plymouth.

i agree they will go down, but they wont go out, they will reform and come back stronger and better under supporters control, they will be another club who would have banished thease blood sucking board room men in suites for ever...so i have very little sympathy for those that hit the wall because they will reemerge and the more it happens the better football will be!!...the supporters have got to be strong, its going to happen more and more often to clubs, and i hope it does...but they will all survive at some sort of degree, i have no doubt
