in 2006 plymouth city council sold the argyle's ground to the club for 2.7 million. between then and 2010 the directors racked up losses of 17million pounds. today it is announced as part of the deal where north devon hotelier takes argyle out of admin, plymouth city council will buy back the ground for 1.7 million pounds. this has caused uproar amongst some rate payers. the council think it is a good deal as rent paid by the club will exceed the council's mortgae payments. hopefully the sorry saga of argyle will be at an end, when somebody with an interest in argyle takes over on 10.10.11. nearly everyone is happy, james brent, brendan guilfoyle the administrator, vivien pengelley, tory leader of the council, the staff, players and most of all the supporters. well done argyle, green army!
