I doubt it...but I am looking forward to silly season this year, I reckon it's going to be a good one!
If we are absolutely committed to CL qualification then we will not get there by "loaning" our competitors cast offs Buy the best available not loan - we want fully committed players Sign up Boruc.....now!
This is a good back up plan if Boruc does not sign, but he is still young for a keeper. It will let us loan out Gazzanigga & maybe Cropper to see it they can impress for the season following
Courtois is already damned close to being a world-class keeper; doubt that Chelsea loans him domestically, and much though they want to keep him, I'm guessing that he ends up getting moved in a part-exchange (for Falcao, probably) simply because he made noises last summer about wanting to have a permanent home. That is, unless Chelsea moves Cech and installs Courtois as their #1, something that might not be totally unthinkable anymore.
I understand Boruc dithering as he wants to be sure we are in the PL, but it unreasonably annoys me as well.
I reckon Courtois will be the best keeper in the world within about 5 years he's an immense prospect. I'd take him next season if Boruc doesn't renew and loan Gazza out again. if we do that then in the season after next Gazza may be ready for the 1st team.
Wonder what the possibility is of a swap deal, Shaw for Courtois...? If Boruc doesn't resign, it could work for both of us. Chelsea need a left back, to replace Ashley Cole, and we need a goalkeeper, to replace Boruc. Targett, if his hype is to be believed, could replace Shaw. Not that I want Shaw to go though, of course, hope he stays for years and years to come. Just a possibility.
Don't understand that reasoning at all! 90% of all rumours are nothing more than paper talk, how does someone making up a link make it more likely to actually happen?
Firstly, this may be total rubbish. If there is any truth in it I could perhaps see a season-long loan but there's very little chance he'll come here permanently. If it became known Chelsea were prepared to sell there'd be a long queue of clubs after him, many of them bigger than us and already playing in Europe.
Not sure why you see it as "unreasonably" annoys. It is not unreasonable to be annoyed by the concept of him not signing. I personally think it is the eccentricity coming out in him.
Doubt that Courtois would want to come here, really; he could have his pick of top teams anywhere in Europe at this point. Atletico would sell its theoretical children into servitude to sign him permanently.
