Confirmation that Pompey's last senior player has left the club: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19207367 Hardly a means for celebration; losing the entire squad, but a relief that the necessary stipulations for the takeover, be it Chainrai or PST have now been met. The administrator can now get down to the business of inserting a new owner, who can let Appleton sort out contracts for those trialists he wants to keep PDQ.
I know some harsh words have been said about a fair number of players but you have to say that a good number of them have been thoroughly decent and written off a lot of money - I for one will certainly cheer loudly any that return to FP in the future - my hope is that BC will not asset strip - he's never said he would - and that limited prudent investment goes in to first of all stabilise us and then move us back up at least one league in the next 3 years. We have a good manager and a new start on the horizon - first battle is avoiding relegation and clawing our way into touching distance of safety, then when we have a level playing field let the real war begin. I'm quietly hopeful. PUPPPU.
Dev, you probably know the answer but from my lofty perch it seems that the PST dont have the money (Including the loan) and that Chanrai can not possibly pass the "fit and responsible person" test again given what the league now know, so what is the solution?
I would imagine that BC has had to agree to a lot of things regarding him returning so wouldn't be overly worried about him becoming seriously involved again.
