About bloody time. They should be wired up to the PA at the ground. Sit at home poodles shouldn't be rewarded with exclusive armchair bonuses like this. They should be punished.
About time. AFL in Australia does it and it's brilliant. Never ever broadcast to the ground like they do in the US, that's tacky, but just have a mic so those at home have a clue what the ref is on about.

Dont get too excited at the moment. It is a long way from being like the NFL or Super League. But still a step in the right direction.

A ref was miked up for a documentary years ago. Tony Adams severely embarrassed himself abusing the ref I recall. Old news I know but Brazilian soccer referee beheaded by angry fans who put his head on a stake after he stabbed player
