Rarely will Gills play as badly as tonight and win. It was amazing to win 5-1 against a team which spent most of the game camped out in Gills half with most of the possession. Edinburgh was going crazy at the poor performance.
On the other hand 5-1 sounds convincing and there were some delightful goals. It is just unrealistic to imagine this level of performance producing a similar result again. Thank goodness Jackson managed to stay fit for 40 minutes during which he dictated the course of the result.

Blimey your hard to please. 5-1 did flatter us but once we scored there was only one team who looked like winning. Yes Jackson was the spark we needed and was mom even for those 40minutes.

I absolutely agree with you - although the Fleetwood defending was dreadful - and we managed to capitalise every time.

gioblues - I understand what you're saying - but it would have been a tall order for any team to come back from 1-4 . So, yes, there was likely to be only one winner - but I bet I wasn't the only one 'expecting' more action at the Rainham End in the second half - instead I nearly got neck ache facing the Town End. I know that we made their keeper pull off a couple of decent saves - but overall, I was disappointed that we didn't bag a couple more.

Jackson had a great first half. I did wonder if we'd be as good without him - Does anyone know the extent of his injury ?
