It's an early start at Adams Park in front of the Sky camera's with a 12.30 KO as the Chairboys take on the Black Cats with both teams looking to boost their promotion hopes. We have lost our last two games against them, both at the Stadium Of Light, which are our only defeats against them in the five games we have played. These games are usually feisty affairs with differing styles of football not greatly appreciated by the opposing fans. Gaz has Ryan Tafazolli back in training after his back injury but this game may have come too early for him Anthony Stewart could return after coming on as sub in the game at the Valley. Wheeler, Thompson and Horgan are pushing for a start, Kaikai is away at the ACN and Al Hamadi could be on the bench. With this being a 12.30 KO it makes it difficult for me to get to this one if it goes ahead with Covid rife in both camps but lets hope it does and the lads put in a great performance and we can close the gap on the top two
Craig Brakespear is the ref for this game so we're f*cked, hopefully he'll come down with covid and will be replaced.
If it is it just confirms what Rob Couhig has been saying in the two recent interviews that I have seen that television would have no effect on the 3pm ko times
Just a thought how come over Chirstmas there were countless football games postponed because of the bug & yet there is only one game postponed on Saturday National League Wrexham's game is off & that's only because thet are only allowed 50 fans in attendance.
A stat I find quite telling phil is that as far as I know there are no games postponed in the cup out of 32 matches this weekend. Could that be because if they can't play them then they forfeit rather than replay it later? Amazing to see they can all muster the requisite number of players and covid hasn't become an issue. Guy, I love the little video above.
