I feel they will come to nothing or have very little effect.

So many people have so many ideas and they are all plastering them all over the net social media as well as the forums.

Everyone jumping around agreeing and disagreeing.

Think it needs a undivided approach a group organising it, with maybe a mixture of all ideas with a set out time line of events building up to something big like a boycott.

Trouble with this club is the fans don’t trust each other or don’t get along so as soon as someone has an idea, they get slated and must have an agenda etc etc.

Just my feelings a lot of talk and because we are all so divided you will get 20 odd outside protesting then another 20 not buying programmes, another 10-15 not buying pints and 5 not buying Tea or Bovril, then a boycott that no one will notice as attendances are on a decline anyway.

Maybe it’s time for people to come together and forgot things that have happened in the past and join together for the better for the club we all love.

    Just a thought

What issues are we putting aside? I generally agree with the point that as a fan base there is a lot of mistrust between our fans, but since the Preston game 90% of the online fanbase seem to be in tandem.

Well, with the exception of black and white. But that suggestion seems to have been the spark for "how not to" protest. The general consensus is there will be something at the Wednesday game, but Ipswich will be the main body of work. There is a group on Facebook with roughly 1000 fans deciding on active action. Some of you may well be in the group too?

Either way, I'll post up what's mentioned from that group.

My own entirely personal stance is that I won't be going to any more home games, but will be supporting us on the away trips apart from Boro. We have good ones coming up at MKD, Brighton and Bristol City.

Next Saturday I will be going to the Valley to join in the planned protest in the West Stand car park at 2.30. I will deliberately not take my ST so I am not tempted to go into the game after.

Like many others I was an ever present at Selhurst and Upton Park from 1984 -1992 so this is a hard decision. I reached the decision after Brentford that I am now getting so angry with what they are doing to Charlton, there will be a breach of the peace if I keep going.

Having caught up on ITTV, CL and social media (I have been busy at work this morning), there must be 15-20 ideas doing the rounds.

No disrespect, but ideas such as printing 'Duchatelet Out' leaflets on A4, or boycotting the Valley catering, are too powderpuff.

It's going to be all about numbers for the pre match protest v Sheff Wed. Less than a couple of thousand (at least) and KM will be smirking.

Come on Billy think about it.... a two minute boo? That'll scare the Duck out of the Wicked Witch and her lap cat Murray <ok>

You can imagine the phone call on Sunday morning......
Douche .."Were there any problems at the match Cuddles"
Witch.. "No Master, there was a bit of booing during the first half but nothing to bother you about"
Douche .."Any effect on match day takings?"
Witch .." No Master, they all still came along to boo...... it seems?"
Douche .."What was the result of the game?"
Witch .. "We lost ... but on the positive side we don't have to pay any win bonuses"
    Douche .... "That's good ... I hate bonuses!"
Witch .. "So all's good then?"
Douche .. "Yes, keep the good work going"
Douche .. "I'll phone a little later so you can do a little show for me on the Webcam"
Witch .. "Ahh..OK ..... do you want it done in the centre circle again?"
    .
    .
    .
Rest of conversation get a bit technical so I'll leave it there.

There's more protest ideas than fans at the moment. A simple protest is probably the easiest for people to participate in.

The problems with our club aren't as simple as say at Blackpool. There you have an owner whose simple aim is to make themselves richer and impoverish the club at the same time. Here we don't know what the motives of the owner are. He appears to see himself as a visionary, and in the process is blind to the realities of the football world in this country. So are we protesting in order to make him see sense, or to get him out? A bit difficult until a potential buyer comes along prepared to take on the debt which is ever increasing under Roland's stewardship. I don't know what would make him start to think about selling up. He gives nothing away from his office across the water. Now it seems the entire cub has gone in the huff and won't talk to the press or anyone. I'll go to the protest and see what come of it, but really I have no idea what the best course of action is, especially since our CEO seems to have a contempt for fans, as does Roland.

I will repeat the statement I have made over on another site where people are finding reasons not to sign the petition because the wording might not be perfect.
If you are in disagreement with what the owner is doing to the club then support all the protests possible that are being made over this issue. Booing at 19 minutes in might not work if we are not there but, if those who do go make that protest work, then it is another way of showing our displeasure and highlighting the issue. So long as we all keep within the law I see no reason not to support all protests at the current state of affairs. Yes individually they may not have an impact but collectively they will add up.

Good morning guys. Finally got some internet connection, and can't sleep so I thought "wonder what's going on a Charlton..."

    **** me its shambolic!

I could come up with some good ideas to protest, showing some of the older members how to do it, although, from a legal standpoint I cannot condone these:
    • DDoS all of Duchâtelet's owned websites so that people cannot transact
    • Hack the CAFC site and put fan views on it (that'll get traction) plus it'll take them ages to take them all down
    • Hack the email servers and publish all communications between Duchâtelet and the club about player recruitment, manager appointments, etc., on a subsection of Wikileaks
Obviously, these are super illegal and should not be undertaken by anyone, however Julian Assange would be proud, "POWER OF THE PEOPLE"

Seriously do not do these, you can get a lengthy prison sentence if caught!

Are any of the regulars on here planning to go to the Sheff Wed game (no criticism if they are) and will they agree to attend the protest at 2.30pm in the West Stand car park ? Credibility is essential which means a big protest turn out. Views?

I'm going to go, only because I haven't seen a game in a while. Missed most of this firing saga too.

I'm up for a protest too. Can bring my mask I used on Project Chanology and Operation Clambake! Maybe get the whole "Destroyed by Belgium" flag too.

We should get these masks and wear them, as they symbolise "modern revolution"

I'll be going primarily to watch the game but if there's a proper protest then I'll add numbers and be there.

I'll be there wearing my George Osborne horror mask, standing legs splayed, pigeon toed. That should scare the hell out of the bastards.
