Theresa May talks bollocks

In a move that would have made a Daily Mail headline writer proud, Theresa May addressed the Tory party conference yesterday and told them the story of the immigrant who the courts wouldn't deport because he had a pet cat.

The big shoe-fetishist even had the bare-faced cheek to preface the punchline with the remark, 'and I'm not making this up.' Unfortunately for her, she was making it up. The whole story was a load of arse-gravy and simply wasn't true. According to a spokesman for the Judicial Office at the Royal Courts of Justice, which issues statements on behalf of senior judges, the pet had "had nothing to do with" the judgement allowing the man to stay.

I'd normally expect an apology for such blatant lying from a member of the Cabinet, but Theresa May has a particularly irritating voice, so I think we can let it slide on this occasion.
