Reflections from the weekend: The premier league contains several clubs whose players are a collection of individuals with too many egos to perform as a team. I would include manchester City, Liverpool, Queens Park Rangers and Chelsea as being among this number. These clubs rely on expensively assembled squads of dispertate personalities who can sometimes be brilliant but have no cohesion to set them apart resulting in the teams being less than the sum of their individual parts. There are others who work together as a team and achieve because of this. I would include Arsenal, Newcastle, Swansea and Norwich in this group. These clubs rely on players playing to their strengths and the ability to remain competitive and together in most games. This enables these clubs to perform at a higher level than their individual parts suggest. Wolves have neither individuals or a team and hence they are bottom. Manchester United have both and hence are top. If Norwich can continue to perform as a team and improve the pool of talent year on year there is no reason why we can't continue to progress.
I think you are a wee bit harsh on QPR. They also have a good lot of individuals similar to our lads. Kenny, Derry, Hill, Smith, Mackie, Buzsacky, Gabbidon who are team players who haven't cost a fortune and come from outside the Prem. Their fans on here have issues of course.
I can see what Kent means though. They have got a good bunch of lads, but bringing in the ego's of Cisse, Barton, Ferdinand, SWP etc etc have massively upset what was a decent cohesive unit and may well contribute to them being the only promoted side to go down
There's no f in team Sorry, I assumed this was going to conclude ............'of any note in Suffolk'
