The Invincibles is one of Preston's nicknames.

No team will go unbeaten in the English premier league for a very long time to come. There are too many factors to consider for it to happen realistically. Not to mention the massive amount of luck required (RVN penalty miss in our season). Its just not possible.

That is quite a long time ago! It seems like it was only a 12 team league in the early days of the organised game. You can see that because of this it was a very uneven league. Preston averaged 5 goals a game and the next best was not even close to 2 goals a game. It is still an unbeaten season but it can not be compared really to Arsenals achievement. I think Arsenals season stands alone as the best achievement in the history of the game in England.

Aye, winning a treble or even a double is nothing compared to focussing all efforts on the league and drawing 12 out of 38 games to go a league season unbeaten.

I rate Arsenals Invincibles year as better than any treble or double winning year.

The only people who rate this are Arsenal fans.
If they were invincible why did they win one trophy?
United lost fewer games and won the three biggest available competitions.

    They also won more games.

    Invincible my arse.

To remain invincible is a wonderful achievement, but it doesn't beat winning three trophies including a European Cup in one season. It is still something to be immensely proud of though <ok>

I rate Chelseas top haul of 95 points better than going unbeaten, why, because they got more points and won more games.

Juventus went unbeaten in the league recently. They also drew a lot of games and didn't trouble the points records. Not sure how they did in Europe that season.

I don't. A record points total is impressive. To remain unbeaten over 38 games is awesome. Just my opinion though <ok>

I actually think Arsenal doing the double (league and FA cup) in 2001/2 is a much better achievement than going unbeaten.

In 2004/5 Chelsea won 29, drew 8 and lost only 1.
    In 2003/4 Arsenal won 26, drew 12 lost 0
I know which i would have as the better team <ok>

Did you see the foul on Willian yesterday? It was just outside the Chelsea box. Why the **** wasn't it a penalty Queenie?
