Just spotted this on the NewsNow Website: Well done Lloyd Doyley: http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/543505681?-276
Legend. He has his critics, but the fact remains that he has been picked on a fairly regular basis by all of Vialli, Lewington, Boothroyd, Rodgers, Mackay and Dyche, and is a nice guy for good measure.
In over thirty years of supporting Watford I've seen some momentous moments - Watford in Europe, an FA cup Final, winning Promotion play-offs, beating the biggest and best teams in the country, some phenomenal players. But it says a lot that one of my favourite moments at the Vic was the occasion on which a right back scored his one and only goal for the club. Whatever happens now Lloyd is a gent and a legend and I hope he remains in and around the team and club for a very long time.
In that game he was left back - as in the co-commentators comment "what's your left back doing up there?".
The guys in my office are all Spurs supporters and they are convinced that Harry is unlikely to play Bale or Modric, and will be saving them for Wigan game the following Tuesday. However they are pretty confident that their squad is way too strong for us. I like being the underdogs, if we lose it's expected, if we draw its more money and if we win it might help attract a couple of new players? The FA cup is full of surprises!!
anything can happen in the FA cup..magic of the cup etc...though i can't see us coming close to winning this! lol.would be nice though!
If Bale does play, I hope Doyley does. Hodson is my general preference, but playing someone who stands a chance of containing Bale is a bigger prize than what Hodson offers going forward.
I just had to post this!!
It is my second favorite moment at watford. The first has to be the play off final, but this is a close second!! I am gutted though as i was not there that night! I would have been in with the fans celebrating, but i had decided it wasnt worth it lol.
My favourite moment was being at Wembley and watching us win promotion to the Premiership! So bloody emotional but so happy all at the same time!
i had Jon Marks's commentary from that night as my ringtone for months! I still love listening to it, it was amazing! But being there was incredible..just a shame he scored up the other end! lol...so sweet of Cleverley to point him in the direction of the fans to celebrate! lol
