well at the moment it seems there is no place like home for 2 of our 3 departee's last summer

Joe Bryan a city boy through and through flew the nest and went to the top of the tree, pity it was not to a top of the tree club and will barring some other Prem club "picking him up" in the summer be playing championship football again next summer.

Aden Flint, a city cult hero whilst here flew to "better pastures north" to a teamthat over the past few seasons have shown they are a pretty much above average team in the championship, but lack that finishing pace in the home straight... still in with a chance of the play off's along with 7 others looking for the last 2 places!

Bobby Reid, flew across the severn but ….. STILL IN WITH A SHOUT of making a second season in the prem.
in a team where he is aruguably the top scorer with a goal every 306 minutes of play but joint second top, 1 goal behind the top scorer on 4 GOALS … HAVING just 1223 minutes playing time out of potentially 3000 mins! [ 2790 league mins so far ]

    Gustav ……………
    Hordur …………..
    Duric …………….
    Hegeler ………..
    O'Neil ……………
    Mc Coulsky ……
    Golbourne …….

Do you think Bryan and Reid should have stayed at Bristol City?

Two little uns, who became Premier league pros. That took mindsets others at Bristol City have lacked. Well done them.

I don't think they should have stayed, or for that matter big un Flint.
Great for them fiscally and with 'great mindsets' achieved great experience for 2 of them at least.
And brilliant for City reaping over £20plus million.
    Win win all round.

They’ve moved on and we’ve moved on , plus as you said we pocketed over £20m . I prefer Webster to Flint, loved Flint to bits , but best for both sides he moved when he did, prefer desilva/Kelly to Bryan , again best for both sides he moved when he did , to capitalise fully financially, and him the same. Reid , we do miss his goals and energy , but who knows if it was a one season wonder , and & £10m I believe is more than his worth , so good deals around really.

I hope we can keep the bulk of this team, offload some of the fringe players, and add some quality for next season, unless of course we reach the promised land , actually even if we reach the promise land , just the quality we would need to add would need to be of higher quality.

With a sensible hat on I agree with Ashton, they've moved on and we had a good financial return, I loved Reid and Bryan and my heart says I wish they were still here, Flinty deserved a move but ' The times they are a changing.' :emoticon-0106-cryin

And from someone who's just been listening to Slade's "How does it feel", Dylan's good enough for me as well!!

Not as far away as your choices but I'm down here in my little den in Cornwall, setting ourselves up for the year, watching the the action on the beach, sipping a Stella, funnily enough I've got some Jeff Lynne tracks on when he was with the ' Traveling Wilburys' to help the flow.

Tbh Wiz I don’t do much Dylan - just ‘Knockin On Heavens door’ and ‘Lay lady lay’. I tend to do more Stones, Beatles - even Bryan Adams and ABBA and Cockney Rebel - anything that I can strum along to!!!

    Wiz,
    R&W's a typical remainer, not a clue.
    Dylan was a genius.

    Only joking R&W

    Jeff Lynne is MY genius.
Out of the Blue is probably one of the best albums ever recorded in the history of music. IMHO of course!!
I can’t play much ELO though - my guitar skills aren’t good enough to cover Richard Tandy and Mik Komanski s work!!!

R&W - and Jeff Lynn is?.......... I've just googled him. ELO - I liked them, still have one of their LP'S. Cant play it as we don't have a grama phone any longer. You're obviously 1 up from me about music.

As a 'mod' back in the 60's I loved Soul mixing it with Rockers outside the Rank.

Great days mate, I went down the Top Rank stairs the wrong way quite frequently but that's a tale for another day.
