One big shiny stadium holds 27000 fans, any takers for rent due to league one football returning to Ashton Gate.

Income required to pay for this stadium, due to 10000 seats only required for BCFC or BRISTOL RUGBY,

The big white elephant called Ashton Gate.

Any takers please apply to S Lansdown at Bristol Sport.

Last night clearly said we are a league one team, with league one ambition.

They wonder why players do not want to come here.

Lack of ambition springs to mind.

What concerns me most is the recent trend to accumulate a French team. I have absolutely no issues when we pick up a gem i.e. Kodjia however has anyone seen the mess that Newcastle are in....?

If I wanted to continually read this type of histrionics I could log on to OTIB where all the rest of the (mostly) 16 year old screamers live..

Could you at least keep it to one thread?

I actually agree with you here.

We are 2 points from safety. I will be worried if by beginning of Feb that gap has increased and we've signed nobody. Until then we are still very much in the mix to stay up.

Fair enough.. you've made your point often enough.

But do we need several new threads on the same subject after every game??

Can you explain how the redevelopment is being funded? What it's cost will be to the FC? How any debt acquired by the FC will be serviced?

We all now who is funding it,however a white elephant is not what he wants,or i would hope that is not what he wants.

The old sausage do you have the team that attracts the customers to fill the stadium,or do have the stadium but do not have the team to fill it.

In your opening post you have posted that "income required to pay for this stadium".

So will the income the facility creates be used to pay for the redevelopment at its outset (now?) Or something else will occur?

It could be suggested that you are making things up and the massive steps being taken do highlight Steve Lansdown's ambitions for BCFC.

So you honestly think SL is going to want a ricoh arena, surely he is not investing in this stadium without wanting to recoup some of his investment, if not all of it.
you say the football is only a small part of the income, however from our point of view we follow Bristol City FC not Bristol Sport which incorporates his other clubs, that is a decision SL has taken.
The majority of us follow the football club on here and on the other forums.

This business model of BCFC and Bristol Sport at Ashton Gate is nothing like that of Coventry City and the Ricoh. Mr Lansdown will own the facility via Bristol City holdings, the stadium will profit va Bristol Sport then divert money into the FC.

Fans are clearly happy with the above arrangement unless you can identify any real articulated opposition.

Your point of view consists of if City win = good. If they do not = bad = spend loads even if you do not know where the money will come from.

As for Supporting the club. It is hard to see what you support because you spend so much time lagging off everything without having answers beyond spend loads and then spend again.

Nothing to do with city's wins or city losses,we are talking about a investment into a structure, however you have to have a product to sell for a income to be generated from it.

Unfortunately the product is not up to standard to generate enough income for a 27000 stadium.
You say boxes will be filled, however the majority of income from football would be produced by the masses, not 10 or so boxes.

Not sure what income would be generated by weddings, conferences etc,but i bet nothing like what the football or rugby produce.

    Ownership of Bristol City FC..
Bristol City Holdings Ltd owns 100 per cent of the issued share capital of the club.
Through beneficially-owned share holdings in Bristol City Holdings Ltd, the following persons effectively indirectly own a stake of ten per cent or more of the issued share capital of the club:
    Stephen Lansdown - 94.06%
    Keith Dawe - 2.36%
    The Rest - 3.58%

    http://www.bcfc.co.uk/club/companydetails.aspx

As has already been said, it's Lansdown's money, he is the paymaster, he owns the club..

Shame he doesn't know how to run it properly.

Also far from happy with the egg chasers and other sports being on our turf, but that's another matter.

Tens of millions of pounds are not being spent to increase the stadiums capacity by 6000.

The majority of the stadiums income will be created by the facilities those millions are being used to build.

The intent is that non football income will outstrip that of the income created by football. That is realistic because Bristol Citys income is so low.

Do you know how much a box will cost? Do you k now how many have been sold?

Do some maths. How many season tickets equal fifty thousand pounds?

Go to Q&A and have a listen to Martin Griffiths. No "you say". Listen to a Directors projections and facts on what has been sold.

Alternatively you can keep making things up or avoiding points you cannot answer e.g funding, Ricoh v Bristol Sport model and asset ownership.

When it's comes down go economics and financing Mr L does know a bit more than most.

Believe the boxes are all sold for the new season, yes i have a idea of costs for one.
Income generated more than the football and rugby combined i will be amazed.
If is does then fair play to SL and his advisors.
