So.. I reckon if we finish outside of the top 7 Eddie and the club may part ways. It will be interesting to see if we replace Dan A before the end of the season or not. If not… and the club wait until the Summer it may suggest the D of F appointment will tie in, and probably precede a managerial change in the Summer. The club might be willing to wait until the Summer to suss out Eddie’s position first.
Losing Ashworth is a major defeat ... it tells the world and our own players that Newcastle is still a small fry operation and to leave to pursue their ambition. The very guy that talked to them and brought them here has ****ed off to a bigger club. They will replace him but it's not a good situation at all.
It never is a question as to who is leaving but who is coming in. Nobody is irreplaceable. But as we don’t employ nobody, somebody will need to replace Ashworth if Ashworth goes. We just need to find somebody. Not convinced Ashworth is the big loss some are painting. What legacy has he left anywhere he has been before?I’m not saying he’s bad just that he’s not irreplaceable.
If your PIF who have left the directors crack on how does it look. You have just spent 350m buying the club and pumped 400m into it for players. We did well last season. Brilliant. We want to see more of the same please. This season happens……. Injuries everywhere. Players bought not getting a look in. Losing many more games. Same formation. Same players. Now our DoF wants out. FFP is crippling us. We have a 60m asset who can’t play because of gambling. Questions will be asked at the end of this season.
I suppose it'll come down to how well the side finishes the season. I understand Howe is in no real danger presently, but if they end up outside the top 10 I think that changes for that and all the reasons you've mentioned.
Easy to see why it loos this way but I can assure you PIF haven't left them to their own devices. Everything gets approval from Riyadh.
Yes probably on the big stuff. But the day to day things won’t. Overall the season is still salvageable but I think things need a bit of a shake up end of season.
