Significant change last night in the Div 2 drop zone. Northampton won there third game on the trot and have moved up to a giddy 19th position.......5pts above the Pilgrims plus a game in hand. The Conference is beckoning for two of the following..........Macclesfield,Hereford,Dag & Red and ourselves, all have played 36 games. Macclesfield and Hereford have the benefit of a 3pt buffer above us. Very important game ........Dag & Red verses Macclesfield on Saturday.......if the Daggers lose that they will be fearing the worst. They will be hoping that Saturdays visitors to Hereford........ Southend will continue being the best away team in the Division,........if Hereford get something from that, that will be a disaster for the Daggers and for us. We have the difficult job of trying to beat high flying Shrewsbury.........they are riding high because of their unbeaten home record.......their away record is not bad.....but they can be beaten away from home. Having won only three games at home .....the worst in the division......crunch time is upon us and nothing less than a win is required. Tuesday night we have Bristol Rovers at home who are now 17th in the league.........doing OK with a new manager. It is so important that we win both these games.........anything less and I fear the worst for Argyle.
Forgot to say well done The Gulls.... that dosn't bear thinking about either that they could be playing 2 leagues above us!
Wondering if the FL would consider our last match being played at Wembley if came to the crunch game, sure Cheltenham would'nt object.....the cash would help both teams whatever the outcome...but that would show favouritism I suppose.....if the Admin. and FL pulled their finger out their arses sooner maybe we would'nt be in this mess!
regrettably we are where we are and have to live with it. I still think one other club could join the mix before the end of the season but it equally may well come down to any one from 4. Fingers and everything else crossed is about all it has come down to now.
hp_bedoboy........the FL probably have forgotten that we exist...........Wembley is not for us.........a hired pitch down the local Rec more likely.
Nothampton always had the money and means to move out of the bottom anyway. It will come down to us Hereford and Dagenham at the end of the season. Macclesfield perhaps but I suspect that they will pick up form again soon.
Is there much point in predicting now before the Shrews and Rovers encounters?.Have to say my mind set is might as well get to as many games as possible given work and family committments,as it may be a few seasons before I watch league football at Home Park again.
No point aka, but predictions are open to debate. I personally think the bottom will end thus: 21. Macclesfield/Barnet 22. Plymouth ---------------- 23. Hereford 24. Dagenham & Redbridge No disrespect to the other teams.
