I think people will look at us as a rising club and that will appeal to quite a few higher profile players

True. What I wouldn't like to see are PL players who are on the way down. I don't want the equivalent of the old Jamie Redknapp, with the dodgy knee, this time round, because we can do a lot better than that. Redknapp in his prime would be another affair, but that sort of player is perhaps upto Cortese whether he wants to push the boat/bus/train/plane out, or keep the coffers well coined for a season of consolidation before another push.

we would need a gk, cb, rb, rm, cm and maybe a st if we were to get promoted. I have no idea who though

The team has a winning mentality and a togetherness that may see them achieve back to back promotion. If they get there they have got there as a team and should be allowed to show what they can doat the highest level. After the performaces of Kelvin Davis and his loyalty to the club, he is somone I certainly wouldn't replace, you won't get any of the keepers mentioned to be his understudy either.

We will obviously strengthen the squad should we go up or not but the new additions will have to earn their place in the team. I have a feeling that we may not know much about some players that are brought in, I suspect Nicola is working hard behind the scenes to get the type of player Nigel wants. If he managed to attract Papa Waigo when we were in League One, Guly and Chung this season then who know's who he may get in next season.
