RE Jovetic is the sort of player we should be looking at. Talented but wasted at their club, potentially injury prone but he's got the sort of quality we need.
Educated risk if the price is right. We have to take a risk due to the position we're in, unfortunately.
Could be a blessing in disguise. All our big money deals under FSG have been crap apart from Suarez. The cheaper bargain bucket deals have served us well (Coutinho, Sturridge, Can). Last summer I stated that from watching highlights of some of his games at Leverkuson Can looked poor btw. He's probably our best new signings.
I have my doubts. Sturridge will get injured, and even if Jovetic stays fit he does not look like a striker who can lead the line. He needs a partner. That would mean putting a lot of weight on Origi or Ings (assuming he signs) shoulders. I think I'd favour looking at this as replacing Sturidge and then once Sturridge is fit they can compete.
