New years eve is my Mrs sisters birthday so I always get dragged to that, this year it's some bar in Ealing then back to her house after. It's usually alright so whatever.
I'm a dad of three teenagers and stepdad to a 9 yr old so I tend to do the giving In that respect one got a pair of Converses, the other a chrome book, the boy got a voucher to a day at the race track, and the littlun got Barbie & Ken set and some chemistry set thing. I got lots of dad stuff in return, mostly things that I'll never wear or use lol but it's all cool bcos being with them over these two weeks all the time is all that counts.

Peeps over ours. There's four sets of parents whose sons have been mates since forever and we split it each year, this year is us. One of those dropped off after Covid for some reason (even though they live on same avenue as me!) so it's three families, eight kids of various ages between us. My eldest out on the piss, my youngest daughter has a mate coming over to stay. I think Mrs Chief is doing a curry or two, despite me wanting to do Mexican.
