Despite the close scoreline, that would be the worst Ipswich Town side I've ever seen. What on earth has that chimp you have in charge turned you into. The physical players and the Marty McFly tactics (just like him they belong in 1985). Long aimless balls based on chance rather than skill. ****ing dreadful. You have an absolute nonsense of a midfield, clumbering, plodding carthorses with about 2 watts of brain power between them all. One interesting idea from your entire team all game. 90 minutes, for about 3 seconds of enjoyment. I am very pleased to say, not a single one of your players would even get on our bench. They are that bad. I'm also very pleased that you know I am right. Good luck with the relegation scrap, because if you stick with the present mule in charge, you are only going to be looking over your shoulder. Dreadful, dreadful manager, get shot of him.
Vinny Jones was a hod carrier, he had feet made of the purest silk in comparison. He was more like a hod carriers mate.
It hurts but i applaud this thread, bloody spot on but certain people on here can see no wrong and blame it all on ME!!
I tend to agree with most of that. Makes you wonder how Norwich only got one goal, a tap in at that, past Ipswich. Just a handful of shots on target, lax defending, poor passing, constantly offside, seriously unfit players. You don't look good. Looking at what we just lost to, we should be ashamed of our performance today. Good luck for the rest of the season.
On another note, what actually makes it worse is that I don't think the Ipswich players played badly for them. It looked like they play like that all the time.
Nah, they're all in the pub! Celebrating only letting one goal in. I did think your fans were quiet today. Usually you bring a wall of sound, but that only really came after 93 minutes or so. Good luck for the rest of the season.
We both played worse than Fulham on the first day of the season. Good luck for the rest of the season.
Hey Hawkings, i thought we were bloody quiet too!! Saying that, nothing to get fans excited about i guess! Would be gutted paying out to watch that ****e
But with the money available to McCarthy, how much better a squad could he reasonably be expected to construct? Workmanlike, strong players are dime a dozen in the football league, so it's the easiest way to produce a squad that is half-competitive. I think a Hoolahan type player would make a huge difference. A 5-man midfield with an advanced central player who could move the ball cleverly would help no end. And maybe another winger.
watching on t.v you could only hear the city fans, nothing from the home fans at all,so dont see how we were quiet. also dont agree we were poor. wes, turner, tetty and grabben were all quality today. all i would say is we should have scored more goals, and on another day we would have
It shows how poor standards are when you listed those players as quality, Grabben was average at best, he is no RVW
It should have been 0-4 at the very least, but we defended very well today. Compared to Ipswich teams of the past they are very ,very poor.Never mind eh.
This all makes grim reading! As one who has watched the highs and lows of ITFC for 50 plus years, were we that bad today?! I couldnt drive up the game....sounds as tho I was lucky to keep me £70 in my pocket! Thanks to canaries and townies who have given us honest reports. And just to wish NCFC good luck in your promotion push! What do we do now? Miracle?! MMs head? MEs purse strings?
Fill yer boots Budgies.Far from a classic Derby match but a long way from being our worse side.MM's limitations are worrying, how he can't see lumping the ball in Murphy's general direction is a losing percentage game.
Is Murphy actually a striker? I really did not think it looked like his 'natural' position. McGoldrick at least looks the part and he was a threat in the first half.
yes you WERE that bad. we shoul have scored at least 3,and our forwards (redmond) need to up their game fast, but over all we played well and deserved the points, and dont be alarmed,i quite enjoyed it when WE were in L1!
