The worlds gone *ucking mad. My grandson Lucas, who was 14 on Sunday has had a pump fitted for his diabetes, his been type 1, like me, since his was 10. Lucas and his Mum had to go to 8 sessions of training before they would fit it. Before the pump was fitted Lucas, like me was on insulin injections. The school knew that Lucas was now fitted with a pump. Well, yesterday the arsholes at Queensmead School took Lucas out of class because he had his shirt hanging out, this is so the tube can hang free. They then cut a hole in his shirt before sending him back to class, and suggested that he has holes put in all his shirts now, this means that the tube will out of the hole in his shirt, so can be knocked, damaged etc. They done this without contacting his Mum. Zoe, Lucas's Mum is rightfully not a happy lady, and WILL take this matter further, and she has our full support.

Sorry to hear that, Nigsy.
Yes, the world is full of ignorant self serving people who lack grey matter and compassion.

I know what l would do and say to those who treated your grandson as such.

Hopefully, commonsense will prevail in the end.
Please pass on my best wishes to your grandson.

The sort of story the media may be interested in if your family want to go down that path, Nigsy. It’d certainly be something I’d be taking advice on if taking it further.

That is definitely mad Nigsy. Whoever thought that was a good idea needs to start with a BIG humble apology to Lucas and his Mum.
School can be tough at the best of times. He will likely never forget that day.

Ignorant ****ers. She should write not only to the school but to OFSTED and whoever heads up the education committee at Hillingdon Council. And also the local director of public health. I’d suggest her local MP but that’s Johnson I think. Anything that makes him self conscious about having a pump is very serious.

If no joy then Uber’s route.

I wonder what the thought process from the idiot school staff was behind such a clearly moronic action? If it was a teacher it does make one question their common sense and general student interaction competence.

if it were my son or grandson, I’d be incandescent.

In my experience, an awful lot of teachers are completely out of touch with everyday life, so caught up are they with their ideology.
