Our first official table! And I have to say the game has been utterly ruined by @redwhiteandermblue and his brilliance. Very much looking like a battle for second at the moment - might as well have Southgate as a Manager!
In round 3 we had an excellent week for our Welsh comrade @mustyfrog who finishes second behind our former colony dweller
(hopefully I am hiding my envy fairly well?) - anyone support a residency restriction?
Bigger gap between 1st and 2nd than there is between 2nd and 23rd. Means it's all very tight between us mere mortals. And no, it is not a typo, @No Kane No Gain did come equal 4th and although @Spurf is still last, he has caught back up with the pack to start his Lazarus rising.
Remember 6 points for a perfect score, so all is not lost.
The other update is the scoring system for this round. With 32 teams becoming 16, all points are now doubled. Therefore a perfect score will be worth 6 points, the correct winner/loser/neither but wrong score will get 2 points. Please note that the applicable score is the end of extra time if needed. An extra point will be awarded for drawn games if penalties take the game in the way you predicted. Therefore if you predict England to win and it's a draw, and then England win on Pens (as if!), you just get 1 point. If you predict a draw you will get 6 or 2 points. If you are predicting a draw, feel free to pick a winner on penalties so that you have a chance of the bonus point.
Also added a poll to see who has impressed during the group stages, flex those predictive muscles and declare for one of the teams. Poll closes Saturday.
