He said in the main what all new managers are expected to say. I love the club, facilities, great set of lads....etc...etc. Actually. No he didn't. It wasn't so much what he said but the way he said it...Like a fan would... 'But I would love to be successful and I think if I am successful I have a better chance of staying here.' I think I just got a Cest boner, only bigger.
A big plus for me mate was him saying the meetings with Short didn't involve money. Makes you think they were hammering out the way to take Sunderland forward realistically. Then laying out what they expect from each other. I could be mistaken reading into this, there is a lot of respect on both sides.
I agree..................about MoN not the relevant sizes of our man danglers. They dont call me 'Lindford' for nothing!!!!
Saints fan here, you've got a great manager in MON unlike Steve Bruce who I think is a absolute dozey prick who doesn't know much about football and he was always so negative in his interviews and tactically very naive. Good luck for rest of season
âI chose Sunderland. But I wouldnât want to play too much up to the Sunderland âboyhoodâ hero thingâ http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16055538.stm Let's take the lead from O'Neil - keep our feet on the ground.
