Wisdom , a defender raring to go Happy at right back and centre back too, According to those who´re well in the know This lad has a talent given to few Liverpool´s boy since he was just fourteen Impressive, for one of such a young age, But for this year, at least, yellow and green Where he can continue to the next stage England he´s served too at Under-16´s 17´s, 19´s and U-21´s, Unlikely then to be scared by the scenes PL games offer, or Suarez-like runs Brady, at last, now one of the Neil flock Has all the attributes to reach the top, Just for a second, turning back the clock To one of the finest of yesteryear´s crop Watching some of the best R. Brady bits Reminded me of one Darren Eadie, Emulate that, and he´ll soon be a hit A goal scoring winger, both neat and speedy. OTBC - INIT
It´s certainly a long time since we´ve had a natural left winger with a natural left foot, JR. Johnson may have a left foot but he´s hardly a winger, while Huckerby, for all he may have wanted to play there, was right footed. So wíth Brady on one side and Redmond on the other, there´s no excuse for not getting some decent crosses in this year. I like the sound of Wisdom too, young, hungry, versatile and with plenty to prove. Whether he will oust Whittaker or Martin or another, is debatable, but he´ll be good to have around to keep them on their toes.
Hello RBF, it must be the eve of the season! it was interesting to see AN's overview of the type of player he was looking for and it sounded like PL a few years ago and that formula has proven to work for us. I would rather have them lean and mean and looking to make an impact than drawing £140k per week when the individuals concerned can be part time show ponies too (yes you Mr Walcott) Like JR, looking forward to the new season with relish and a degree of optimism but not any complacency.
