When the window shuts in Europe With the German transfer window closing in approximately 21 minutes, now seems a good time to look at how long clubs across Europe have to complete any deals... assuming of course there is some transfer activity going on elsewhere (there is not much in the UK at present). Window shuts at 17:00 GMT: Germany Window shuts at 22:00 GMT: Italy , Greece Window shuts at 23:00 GMT: England, France, Austria, the Netherlands Window shuts at 00:00 GMT: Scotland Clubs in Russia will be able to buy players until the end of February, while Portuguese clubs have until 17:00 GMT Wednesday. For Spanish clubs, it is already too late - the window is already closed there.
