Absolutely tragic story, just think it would be a nice gesture to show our feelings on the Swansea board, puts football into perspective when things like this happen, may they all rest in peace
I was glued to the tv this afternoon hoping to hear some good news regarding this, but you could almost sense the grief emerging from those at the scene..Tragic is the only word I can think of to describe my feelings regarding this incident..<RIP>

It's times like this when you realise that the nonsense spouted in the football world means absolutely **** all. To have a soul ripped from a body and the devastation that must leave behind to those that loved them brings a tear to even a strangers eye.. My thoughts are with you down there in Swansea but as a community I know and people I admire then you will be there for each other.. Stay strong lads for the weaker ones & my strength is with you in this awful time..
RIP As a rescue diver with a minute amount of subterranian experience I feel also for those who tried in vain to save them. Cave diving is extreme and mining is no less.
Yes Commo I thi nk many Sunderland fans will have a special empaphy with the Swansea community, many of us are from good mining stock. I watched the story unfold in tears so have absolutly no idea how the families coped, in many ways the final news will have come as a sad relief. In this day and age its sad that anyone should go off to work and not come home, RIP
I have watched and listened all week to this story and the terrible news that has evolved. My two grandads both were pitmen be had a hard life. They never wanted their kids to be miners and worked hard to give them a fresh opportunity and their sacrifice is the reason I will be a left of centre political animal, no matter how well I do in life. These fathers, brothers and sons of Wales, who have died this week, should remind us all how vulnerable life can be. Our thoughts are with there communities and families today. Rip.
Heard about the bodies being found yesterday but unable to get to them to ID them, I think that must have been the worst part for the rescuers who do a hell of a job under very extreme conditions and, of course the families. Agree we have a lot in common with all mining communities and something like this shouldn't really happen in todays world but it does. The Welsh are a resilient lot and in time they will pull themselves round. Work with an ex miner who was practically in tears all day Friday when the news kept filtering through as he had a similar experience underground but, fortunately he was rescued.
Tragic news. Thoughts go out to the families of the miners , and also to the rescue teams who worked tirelessly in very difficult conditions. RIP.
