How many of the 12 loan players will be there next season?

We went down that road with DJ and left us in the mire.

Not sure he left us in the mire, MM was able to come in and build his team without the worry of upsetting those personalities who were not going to get permanent deals. Having said that not many of the loaness were that effective.

DJ - The Watford thing is a new ball game regarding loanees - not in the same category as your namesake's time here.

The problem with those DJ loanees was the poor quality of his choices. Apart from Bellers who came here because he really wanted to unlike the others, we saw the likes of JET, Lloyd Samuel and Bywater at the club - a far cry from Zola's charges.

Dependent upon any rule changes made during the summer by the FA/FL, the current Watford team could be decimated. It would also depend very much upon which division they'll be playing in.

    Its a totally different scenario.

They are all owned by the same owner.

They could just be transferred to Watford - their prob may be arent they under a transfer embargo.

Also just for Taff - Zolas loans were quality and he encourages his youth.

Think of Jones and young Matthews. I wouldnt even like to think what would have happened to that young keeper under Jones.

We also in addition to the loans leaving also allowed players who combined had transfer fees worth millions leave for nothing.

Malky was left with a total shambles - totally unbelievable what he has achieved.

Zola is a top coach and as long as he isnt restrained by a embargo or the owners losing interest they will be fine.

However they are a small club and he may be attracted to bigger and better.

This 'embargo' is one of those non events.

Isn't there some wording that says they are under an embargo but could be allowed to sign players as long as they first get agreement from the authorities.

Who knows what that ruling means.

Hilts, my comments about our loanees reflect what you imply in your comments.
DJs treatment of Matthews isn't in the discussion!
Surely you do know DJ didn't negotiate the players contracts so how can he be responsible for the lack of players?
