    Yet another potential departure ?.................

"Buried at the bottom of a Daily Mirror story linking Martin Jol with another move for FC Twente winger Nacer Chadli is a suggestion that Fulham are preparing a £500,000 bid for young Portsmouth winger Ryan Williams.

The Australian teenager has shot to prominence since being promoted to the first-team squad by former manager Steve Cotterill. He made his Pompey debut on the opening day of the season as a substitute at Middlesbrough and has made six appearances for the Championship side so far this term. Fulham’s scouts have apparently alerted Jol to the 18 year-old’s potential and the Premier League outfit might try and take advantage of Portsmouth’s ongoing financial difficulties.

The inference in the report is that Fulham may benefit from Pompey’s desire to settle an outstanding tax bill, with the administrator seeking quick funds to settle an outstanding tax bill".

We should bring Ryan into the first team NOW, in place of Liam Lawrence - perhaps Martin Jol would like to sign Liam instead, for his experience and terrific ability to beat full backs..........

Have just listened to an interview with Appy on BBC. He said he's only had 1 conversation with 1 manager, Paul Jewell, about 10 days ago and although he's heard the rumours no other conversations have taken place. Also that he hasn't been told he has to sell anyone. Couple of quotes from him:

Seems like they are still expecting to find a buyer. He also knew about the tax bill so that puts paid to that little rumour.

4 days 18 hours and 35 minutes until that bloody window closes

Are there any workmen digging roads in Portsmouth who could "accidentally" cut through the phone lines?

  5. Morning peeps,
I was curious as to how the current situation is affecting certain commercial aspects of the club. I'd heard that Pompey TV has been taken down and that lines of credit / banking facilities have been removed / suspended, which presumably inlcudes merchant services for using credit cards to purchase tickets and merchandise? How does this impact on you guys and your dealings with the club?

Sorry for the rather maudlin post, but at least it's Happy Friday and the sun is out.

Norwich,Ipswich and Millwall are all in for Ward and Pearce even though apparantly they don't want to go. What a mess.

There's just under 5 days of the window left.

IF you don't sell anyone AND there is no buyer before the court hearing then I fear you will go to the wall.

I would accept bids for players like Kitson or Lawrence as they are most probably on high wages etc.

But just thought it would be worth mentioning.

Surely it's best to be safe than sorry?

We can only accept a bid that has been made. As Appy said in his interview he's only had 1 phone call.

If the Atlantean takes over he pays off the tax debt and we don't have to get rid of any players. Seems like the best option to me <ok>
Should at least keep us afloat for another 6 months.

Just think that PFC would be better off if they made a statement saying they are for sale <ok>
