Whilst the players in the teams at the bottom of the league are no doubt fully focused on retaining their top flight status, I expect that their agents are preparing for the worst (or best in their case) and starting to put out the feelers to gauge interest in their clients from other clubs. We'll certainly be a very attractive proposition to any player not being wooed by the big clubs and our signing of Long shows that we aren't afraid of spending what we need to get what we want regardless of whether a club is in the relegation dogfight. So, which PL players do you think could do a turn for us next season whether they are for the drop or not?
Charlie Austin's goal against us was probably the second best I've seen at St Mary's this season. Second only to Graziano's goal against them.
I'd take Moore from Leicester as well. Also be tempted by Robertson of Hull. As well as the usual, Ings, Trippier, Austin, Benteke etc.
Ings has his ticket booked on the Mersey Ferry. I didn't rate him Saturday, but Austin looks good. But we are lowering our sights again. That Welsh bloke at Real is unhappy. Got to be worth a cheeky bid!
Robertson looks very good, but alas in a role where we don't need immediate attention. Based on performances against us, I would say Austin has impressed me more, but Ings is certainly a talented lad and would of course be better value. I think if we want to improve then we should look to replace Pelle and Benteke would be a candidate. His injury record would be a concern Trippier has a great cross on him, but not so sure on his defending. We got down there right at will on Saturday. Might not necessarily be all his fault, but would prefer a defender first and foremost.
I can just imagine what sort of reaction this thread would get if we were struggling and were on the end of this speculation!

Seen Leicester a couple of times this season and Mahrez always looks a cut above for them, would be a good option to have I think.
