I certainly don't see what a change of leadership would achieve at this stage - what they need is a deal that can command a majority in parliament. Why May has waited until now to try and motivate the whole house is an unknown, though it's mostly her intransigence that has lead the UK to this point. sadly, even now, I think she is simply trying to get Labour involved as she knows full well the disaster that is coming, and it will be a chance to point the finger at labour when everyone is complaining about why Brexit wasn't the one they wanted. The main problem was always that the referendum was ludicrously unclear about what form Brexit would take, and even now, the leavers cannot even agree amongst themselves what they want.
Political boundaries are being redrawn, and who knows how it will end up. The Will of the People is that we don't want to die but we want to go to heaven.
There would certainly be huge celebrations, just as there were when the result of the referendum was announced.
Donald's problem is that he doesn't get a mobile signal in all of Chateau Don …. so when he gets lost, it can take him weeks to find his way out of the East Wing and his Lithuanian maid speaks "very little Inglish Mr Donald Sir" and so can't help.
Visiting the in-laws last weekend I sat between 2 brothers who fell out over B****t, despite a pre-meal agreement not to mention the B-word.. It ended with the 65-year-old waiting in the car park threatening to beat the **** out of the 70-year-old, although he did cool down by the time he came out. It carried on the next day too, despite the fact that they had been chatting quite amicably until the B-word came up. I'd heard of this sort of thing but this was the first time I saw it.
Interesting that we get all sorts of sh1t on St Paddy's day (granted he was Inglish) from Genghis Khan … but on St Georges day, NOTHING! I would have thought that the fact that he was a EU Immigrant would have encouraged our glorious leader to do something in London or even a mention on his organisations website? Is Khan embarrassed that London is in Ingland?
I'm quite happy with him, especially compared to his predecessor. Voted for him as Labour candidate, and as Mayor.
You'd have to ask MikeTyson about that. The English have never bothered about St George's Day until the last couple of years, any more than we bother about St Andrew's Day. St Patrick's Day has always been more celebrated because it involves drinking Guiness and eating boiled bacon and cabbage (the cabbage boiled with the bacon). Mmmmmmmm.
Isn't it ironic that one of Charlton's greatest ever players was called George and yet we know him by Sir Chris.. . . . St. Christopher George Robin Powell
