Just read the following article oin the upcoming gigs this summer:

    http://www.journallive.co.uk/north-...seeks-backing-for-summer-gigs-61634-30090107/

Was quite surprised to read that, as a whole, football brings in £40m to the local economy over the course of a season - I thought this was quite a decent figure until I read that the concerts as a whole (albeit only a few of them) will bring in £42m - great business by Messrs Short & Quinn and obviously good for both the local economy and the football club.

Hope the above ideas for businesses to get involved in advertising etc. works and makes the club even more money for Martin's war chest

I was surprised at those figures as well.
It must be that far more concert goers stay over whereas Footy fans tend to head home at the final whistle.

Must say I am delighted at the way the club are using the stadium, lifting the profile and bringing in cash to the area
